Contestants who let you down

Who were the contestants from whom you had high expectations after the Piano Rounds but then let you down in the Galas? And on the reverse, who were the ones who you were neutral towards but then got attached to them in Glas?

Problem is that these singers come to the initial round and give their best performance and raise the bar for themselves. Some of the songs that the contestants sing in piano rounds are the ones they've been singing for many years now. After they're done emptying their stash of talent, they are left vulnerable with newer songs they need to perform. And then performances become weaker and flaws more evident.

I'm sure Manisha has been singing Solemiya forever now. Hence the good performance. Every performance after that was disastrous to say the least. Naushad couldn't even play on his strengths in the gala rounds. Week after week he sang RFAK songs but to no avail. Inconsistency sums up his presence on Idol.

To be very honest, I say this with a stone on my heart, but Shashi was one singer who let me down. I had a lot of expectations and a major soft corner for Shashi after his ouster on SRGMP. I had hoped and prayed that he'd go far in this competition. But unfortunately, that was not the case. Of course Shashi is a much better singer than Bhoomi or Tia or even Naushad, but he did not get a chance to show improvement.

Problem is when singers reach their high point too early in the competition, they only way they can go after that is down. Then their graph starts going down and expectations are not met. I think Sreeram has been wonderful in that department, where he has been able to maintain his graph on a positive slope. But I'm extremely scared for Sreeram as its been a noted fact on reality shows across the board that the audience likes 'most improved' singers as opposed to the best of the lot. In that department, I think Shivam also has a chance to bag the competition. Keeping my fingers crossed, Sreeram deserves the crown this season, without a doubt!

The 4 eliminations which really hurt me so far- Vishwas, meghna, Shashi and Arpita. The others were all more or less OK/ deserved that is

Totally agree there. Instead, we could've easily kicked off Bhoomi, Tia, Yashraj and Naushad earlier, in my opinion.

For me Naushad, SHashi, Arpita and Manisha were a big let down looking at their Piano round performance...Some because of inconsistancy...

Rakesh, Shivam, and Sreeram has improved the most...

Bhoomi and TIA does not have that great of a graf..

Swaroop is still best in his genre but average outside of his genre...

Sreeram is the most consistant, versatile and pakka singer so far deserving the crown..

manisha was the biggest disappointment in piano round IMO..

Rakesh & Sreeram improved alot..

I expected Arpita to do much better.

well manisha was a big let down then naushad and vishwas though we saw very little of him in the show, tia was okay and actually just good in piano but later on not at all so yea these singers disappointed me

Well, this one has gotto be Manisha and Naushad.. 😒 I expected A LOTT from them, especially Manisha.. 👎🏼
