The scene that was canned was a flashback one. Kareena Kapoor was not present during the shoot. Most of her scenes will be in exotic locations like Italy and Morocco, as she plays a Pakistani double agent in the film. She and Saif have a lot of fight scenes.
Saif said, 'I shot some action scenes on Saturday, involving high jumps and rolling down a staircase. I didn't use any wires, so I was bruised when I reached home on Sunday morning. This is just the beginning, and there is so much more action to come.'
Next week, shooting will be on in full swing at Morocco, especially at Casablanca and Tangiers, followed by shooting schedules in Pakistan and Amsterdam.
Agent Vinod was supposed to start soon after the release of Love Aaj Kal in July 2009, but kept getting postponed. Saif, however, is utterly cool about it. 'I wanted to shape Agent Vinod as well as I could. I wasn't really getting stressed about the delay. There was a lot of speculation about the project and its budget, but I have stayed true to my vision and original plan,' said Saif.
Agent Vinod is directed by Johnny Gaddaar and Ek Hasina Tha director Sriram Raghavan and is Saif's second home production, after the Imtiaz Ali-directed Love Aaj Kal.
