Hey everyone! Looks like there is going to be another exciting season of Indian Idol! Can't wait till things really get going!

So for those who know me from MKMM, you know what I'm going to talk about....

So who is interested in another Singing competition!?

For those who don't know what I'm talking about. Here is a quick summary. Basically, there is a competition between actual female singers in bollywood, like the best of the best from current times. And then each round we listen to a song of theirs, rate their singing, and eliminate the weakest performance, and move on till their is 1 remaining, the winner!

More details would follow when the competition actually starts!

But for now, I'd like to know how interested is everyone???

Note for those who followed this in MKMM:
Looking back at the last one, I don't think it was as complete and comprehensive as I would've liked. There were 6 competitors from each gender, and each were limited to the last decade. This time I wanted to make it more complete. 12 in each competition. You know, this is more standard. Also, I would still like to pick the best from the previous decade since they are more known today and aren't too old to be considered "legends"....but this time I'll let them choose any song from their career. So basically, this time it will be more competitive.

Oh on the Music ka Maha Muqqabla forum, risingabove organised a game for all members. It was a singing competition for actual professional singers, kind of like fantasy football. The members would rate singers out of 10 on actual film songs and after every round of voting there would be an elimination. The score for each song was a mix of audience scores from members as well as scores from three designated judges. It was our very own reality show!

Ah, sounds interesting. But I'm confused on the singing part? Do the members record their singing and upload it or is it just listening to certain songs and judging them? BTW, thanks for the quick reply.Smile

Members dont participate - we choose songs of actual singers like Sunidhi, Shreya and Alka...

Here's the link to the conclusion thread of the competition: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/music-ka-maha-muqabla/1358476/ifs-mkmm-conclusion

So for those who were there last time...what do you think the format should be?

As I said in my original post. I was thinking similar format, but with 12 contestants, and more versatility in the time frame they can choose songs (So instead of past decade, full career). Though I think I still should limit the contestants to the most impactful from the previous decade.

I think this one will be more comprehensive, since 12 singers is more standard in a competition, and more competitive and more complete.

What do you guys think?
