As per the TAM Media Research (C&S 4+, HSM) data, the top three general entertainment channels (GECs) have seen a slump in Week 7 of 2010. Colors continues to be the No. 1 channel, although it has lost 14 GRPs compared to Week 6. It has garnered 304 GRPs, maintaining its market share of 23 per cent.
STAR Plus, at No. 2, has garnered 281 GRPs with a market share of 21 per cent. The channel has lost 22 GRPs compared to last week, the maximum loss amongst the top three channels.
Losing 15 GRPs in Week 7, the No. 3 spot is maintained by Zee TV. Zee has a market share of 18 per cent, with 246 GRPs.
Sony is stable at the No. 4 spot and has registered 173 GRPs with a market share of 13 per cent.
NDTV Imagine has seen a positive jump of 16 GRPs in Week 7. At No. 5, the channel's share stands at 9 per cent with 120 GRPs; it has also shown the maximum gain amongst the GECs.
SAB, at No. 6, has added 11 GRPs compared to last week by scoring 93 GRPs and a share of 7 per cent in Week 7.
STAR One has maintained its channel share of 3 per cent in Week 7. Both Sahara One and DD1 have garnered 2 per cent share each. STAR Utsav and 9X follow with 1 per cent each.
Among the Top 10 programmes on Hindi GECs, Uttaran tops the list by garnering a TVR of 6.7 in Week 7. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is the second most popular programme with a TVR of 6.2. It is followed by Pavitra Rishta with a TVR of 6.1. Na Aana Is Des Laado is at No. 4, with a TVR of 5.5 and Bidaai, with a TVR of 5.4, stands at No. 5.
The other programmes in the Top 10 list are Balika Vadhu, Chhoti Bahu, Jhansi Ki Rani, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Laagi Tujhse Lagan.
