Without a doubt, the best female singer in bollywood. There used to be some heated debate on this topic, but now it's more clear. She has an absolute magical voice. Just amazing. Besides for that, she has great singing talent. She is classically trained and has been singing since she was 4 years old. And got a lot of recognition winning shows while she was still a kid.

So just how good is she? In her first movie, Devdas, she was awarded playback singer of the year. The next year she went on to repeat and win playback singer of the year again. That is 2 playback singer of the year awards in her 1st 2 years of singing. At the age of 25, she has already won 4 National Awards for her singing. She won all 4 over the past decade. No other female singer won even twice in the last decade. She won 4 times.

She is also the 2 time defending Filmfare Playback Singing Award winner. That's a total of 4 in the past decade, obviously more than any other singer. She's only sang for 7 years, and in those 7 years she has won 4 of the awards. She is the youngest ever winner for Female Playback Singer of the Year at the age of 18. It's just unbelievable all she has accomplished so quickly. Truly unbelievable. However, not surprising. What a magical voice. She is also very beautiful I must say. My favorite female singer in the Bollywood for sure.


If you ask me, she is well on her way to be the greatest female singer of all-time. Yes I think she will surpass Asha and Lata too. That's how good she is. We need to truly appreciate what a singing talent we are seeing.
