Mil Ker bicharna hi tha
Tu woh milay kyun thay

Ager bichar hi gayee hain
Tu phir woh aksar miltay kyun hain

jinhain dil se gayee zamana beet gaya
Un ki her pal is dil ko khabar kyun hai

Kehtay hain kay duniya bohat bari hai
Aur dil ki duniya--
Yeh duniya bhi tu kum nahin

Insanoon ki gintee ker saktey hain insaan
Per yadoon ki gintee kay liyey ek umer kum kyun hai

Anjaan seher anjaan log anjaan yeh dagar
phir bhi magar woh ek nazar

Woh ek nazar
Pehchani se kyun hai

Akeelon ki bheer main apnoon kay saath ho ker bhi
Yeh akeela us ek apnay sey dur kyun hai

Aag ki roshni main jis kay roshan cehray ko deekha tha kabhi
Aaj woh chehra chor gaya zindagi main ek andhera kyun hai

kabhi kabhi yeh sawal dil main uthta hai
Ager main Anjali ka saath nahin chorta tu kya hota

Janta hoon yeh sawal ka jawab kaheen nahin
Per phir bhi dil main yeh sawal hota kyun hai
