Another Pavitra Rishta?

I have only seen the first 3 episodes (I'm watching it on TV on the UK) and all me and my family think is that it is another Pavitra Rishta type show!

Archana was quite old and was finding it hard to get married (although it was because she wasn't qualified) and now Simi is around the same age and finds it hard to get married (as she is "obese" or they say so).

Also, same family make up, 2 parents, 1 son and 3 daughters, except in PR the son is married with a daughter.

So on the whole it is a similar concept, but then its quite different at the same time. What do you guys think?

I think the show is veryy different from Pavitra Rishta. PR is about Archana's and her relationship with Manav.

But Karol Bagh is based on a family and the problems that they face in their day to day lives. Simi's story is only one plot, after that we will get an entirely different one.

I agree with Gur. But there are simlar characters; Simi and Archana, Varsha and Mili.

I guess the show got its inspiration from Pavitra Rishta, but has a different storyline.
