The Yuvaraj star has been roped in as the brand ambassador of Indian football by the All India Football Federation. "Salman said he wanted to promote football. We'll now see how he can contribute in promoting the game," Praful Patel, the acting president of AIFF, told TOI. Salman is not charging any fee for promoting the game, said Praful. Salman, 41, had informed the Indian football team captain Baichung Bhutia earlier in the day that he will be at the game. He arrived at the stadium during the second half of the game. Salman was in the capital to also promote his upcoming film, Wanted, a Boney Kapoor production, helmed by Prabhu Deva with co-stars Ayesha Takia, Om Puri, Vino Khanna and Arbaaz Khan. The film is due in theaters on September 18. Salman visited the Jama Masjid to attend the roza iftar. He was also reported to have visited a local pehelwan in Old Delhi area to check out some yunani medicine. Salman Khan has shown a new interest in sports as he is also looking at buying an IPL team. He met IPL chief Modi to learn the ropes of owning a team. IPL will add two more teams in the 2010 season making bringing the total to ten. Bollywood stars who are already IPL team owners/stake are Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta. Salman's pal Sanjay Dutt was announced as the boxing ambassador this summer.

Salman, who is currently busy with his popular TV game show, Dus Ka Dum, will be next seen in Prem Soni's Main Aurr Mrs Khanna with co-star Kareena Kapoor and Vipul Shah's London Dreams with co-stars Ajay Devgan, Urmila Matondkar, Lara Dutta, Asin and Ranvijay Singh .
