hi I don't know if this is helpful to u

difference between cell division in plants and animals is that animal cells separate the daughter cells by constricting the plasma membrane between them, whereas plants form a barrier called the cell plate to separate the daughter cells. That is, animal cells divide by pinching the cell in two while plant cells subdivide the cell by building a new wall down the middle.

In the cycle of cell division ( 4 parts) the fourth part cytokinesis is different in plant and animal....the animal cell can pinch into two by a ring of microfilaments. The plant cell with a rigid wall synthesizes a new cell plate. In both cases, the spindle fibers play a role in determining the site where the cell is split.

hey let me know if it was good enough for u...i don't know anything else

bye good luck

ok Manjot---here is what I learned about it (i hope it makes sense):

--basically it is the same in both plants and animals, except for two key differences. In animals, you have these structures called centrioles, which help form the spindle apparatus, which separates the chromosomes during anaphase (the phase when the chromosomes are separated). Plants don't have centrioles, but they do have a spindle apparatus still which helps in the division.

--Another major difference, which nish1 mentioned, is the formation of the "cell plate" in plants. Basically, plants have a cell wall, whereas animals don't. So when animals are done dividing, then at the end of telophase, they split up their cytoplasmic contents evenly in a process called cytokinesis (so each daughter cell gets same amount of cytoplasm). But in plants, since a cell wall has to be formed as well, the plants form a cell plate which is formed by vesicles. Basically, they have this hard plate between them, and as the cells grow and mature, they pinch away, each with their own cell wall.
