Episode 1
On their 21st wedding anniversary, Babulnath and Baari wake up early morning and exchange gifts without their children (Bunty and Bubbly) knowing about it. They wonder whether the children would remember their anniversary at all. Sadly none of them remember. Disappointed but raring to celebrate on their own, they practically ask their children to leave the house at earliest. But Bunty and Bubbly eventually remember it and decide to give their parents a surprise party at a coffee shop on their own. At night they surprise their parents by wishing them with a greeting card and drag them to a coffee shop. The family enjoys the coffee in a sleek atmosphere but Bunty gets a shock to see the bill. He had not accounted for the VAT surcharge on the bill and he is short of money. Baari eventually saves them by paying the remaining amount she always carries in case of an emergency. As they leave the shop a stranger sitting at the same coffee shop, who can predict the future, predicts the drastic change that beholds Babulnath's family future.
Episode 2
Babulnath and Baari purchase a television set for the first time in their life, surrendering to their children's constant demands. They settle for the smallest TV in the shop, much to the irritation of the children and the salesman. Eventually the parents buy a TV set without a remote control. Next day the Cable operator arrives at Babul's residence to adjust the channels. He adjusts all excluding a channel by the name of Golden Eye. Golden eye channel is introduced as a channel that's going through a rough patch. This is the last chance for the latest channel head Vaasu to put them back on track. Vaasu reveals his ambitious plans to get the channel on top. He suggests a strategy that will bring back the long lost middle class family to the world.
Episode 3
In this episode there is a cricket match taking place between India and the West Indies and Bunty calls his chawl friends over to watch the match on his TV. As his friends are over in his small house, alterations are made in the sleeping arrangement. With the mother and daughter sleeping in the bedroom, there is no space for Babul, who begins his tour to get a good night's sleep. He wanders in the kitchen, then moves out, then goes to the tanker.
Meanwhile Bunty's friends put a bet on the match and Bunty loses. He is also guilty of causing inconvenience to his father, as his friends get dissatisfied with the small screen and no remote.
Episode 4
As Bunty has lost the bet to his friend, he decides to steal Rs. 25/- from Babulnath's wallet. While babul is ready to leave for work, Baari and Babli are also dolled up to leave for a satyanarayan pooja and are wondering how much money they should offer to the deity. Babul says money isn't a good idea. When he leaves for work and opens his wallet, he realizes that he is left with no money (he had only 25 Rs.). Bunty gives the money to his friend, but his friend doesn't take it. Here Babul decides to walk up to his office. All this while, he is noticed shooing away a beggar by the Golden Eye channel programming head. He offers Babulnath a lift but Babulnath declines and walks miles to reach office. The channel programming head is impressed by Babulnath and discusses with his team how he missed out on a typical middle class man! Babulnath asks Dinu for Rs.5, to return home. Dinu rushes out as his mother-in-law suffers an asthma attack; and forgets giving the money to Babul. He has no choice except to walk all the way back home. When he reaches home, his legs ache and Bunty is very guilty and ashamed, and out of guilt massages Babul's feet. When Baari and Babli arrive they are shocked to see this sight. At the dinner table, Bunty excuses himself and goes and slides the money back into the wallet. He also leaves behind a letter of apology, expressing shame over the act! Babulnath is relieved that Bunty realized his mistake.
Episode 5
Babulnath has a secret, he buys a lottery every week. Every Tuesday he leaves home early for office and does overtime to buy the lottery ticket from Dinu. He has hidden this fact from Baari and his kids. Baari is baffled as to why does Babulnath leave home early one day of the week? Meanwhile Baari notices on television that whatever articles she writes are all in TV serials. She is surprised how her original ideas are on TV before her? Babulnath plays lottery with great passion and optimism thinking that he will win lots of money and give his family all that they have desired. He goes to the lottery shop and yet again he is disappointed.
Episode 6
Golden Eye channel invites a numerology guru to re-name the channel to guarantee success. He names the channel and gives them a formula that ensures that they will be successful in their attempt. He emphasizes on the importance of the digit '9' and says that this number will bring them luck. Meanwhile Babulnath buys a lottery on the sly to fulfill his desire of becoming rich. Guruji says that the 9th person who enters their lottery shop will be the chosen candidate for their show.
Episode 7
Yet again Babulnath has lost the lottery and is very disappointed. Meanwhile the channel guys are chasing him, to note his characteristics and personality. Babulnath relaxes in a park with Dinu and expresses his intent of never buying a lottery again. He is firm and thinks it has been a waste of his time and money. Meanwhile Golden Eye channel head and the director are very keen and curious to know about Babulnath's other family members and send a team to spy on them. As soon as they know of Bunty and Bubbly, they are very excited and happy about it. Now they are eager to know how Mrs. Babulnath is. While all eyes are on her, some comedy of errors happens, where they misunderstand someone else to be Mrs. Babulnath.
Episode 8
Baari has gone to Nasik to attend some relative's function. The kids are very excited about New Year's Eve as preparations are going on in the chawl. They are keen that Babul also joins them. Babul heads to work and is amazed to see everybody's excitement concerning the New Year's Eve. He is of the belief that there is nothing to celebrate if the year comes to an end! Meanwhile at the Golden Eye channel office, Vasu is very curious to know how Babulnath's family would be celebrating New Year's and therefore asks the channel guys to spy on the family and give him a report. The spies reach the chawl and watch all the celebration. Babul wins the housie game and the kids insist that they want to have ice-cream. Babul, Bunty and Bubbly have a good time in their sweet little way confirming to the small-scale celebration at the chawl.
Episode 9
Babulnath and family plan to stitch new clothes. As an economical option Baari buys few meters of cloth and decides to stitch all their outfits from the same piece of cloth. She also calls a tailor home to stitch the clothes. Vasu and his team succeed in planting mikes in Babulnath's house. Vasu sends Jolly to see the house from inside to decide where the cameras should be set up. Jolly is disguised as a census survey person, but he is unhappy with the interiors of the house and insists that Vasu should shift the family into a larger and brighter house. Vasu does not seem convinced with the idea but is under pressure of launching the show and half heartedly agrees.
Episode 10
Vasu has planned to call Babulnath in the office but Jolly is not convinced with his plan. In fact Jolly has some different plans, which is later approved by all. They send a notice to Babulnath saying that he has not paid his electricity bill and call's him to their office for further clarifications. They transform Golden Eye office into a Government electricity office. Even Baari accompanies him to the electricity department office. Jolly asks his person to only allow Babulnath enter inside the office. The executive producer is asked to attend to Babulnath. They somehow manage to convince Baari to leave. Babulnath is stunned to see a government electricity office maintained so well.
Episode 11
Vasu tells Babulnath that he will be featured on television every day. But Babulnath is unable to understand what they are trying to say. Babulnath is shocked when he comes to know that they are talking about Golden Eye channel which according to him shows adult content on their channel. Vasu later explains to Babulnath about the reality show in which his family will be featured. They tell Babulnath that they will place cameras in his house and record their daily activity which will be telecasted on the channel. Babulnath refuses to be a part of this initially, but asks them to give him some time to think when Vasu lures him by saying that he will be paid Rs. 2 lakhs every month. Mini comes to Baari's house with her boss to convince Baari to make a cage which will be used in their serial. Babul has a very unsettling sleep and in the middle of the night gets up and tears the contract papers for the reality show.
Episode 12
Babulnath is glad with his decision of refusing to sign the contract papers for the reality show as it is against his principles. Babli suddenly gets a toothache and is taken to the dentist by Babulnath. The dentist recommends a root canal but Babli refuses to get it done as she finds it very expensive. Babulnath is ashamed of his incapability to afford this expense. Vasu comes up with an idea of making a new contract after including medical insurance cover along with other perks. This contract is given to Babulnath who takes it and again asks for some time to think. Later Baari informs Babulnath about Bunty wanting to join computer classes. Babulnath also notices that Baari is worried about Babli's marriage. Seeing his family's growing expectations and ever increasing financial responsibilities, Babulnath finally gives in and signs the contract.
Episode 13
Babulnath finally gives in and signs the contract. He goes to Golden Eye channel office. Vasu and his team are thrilled to know that Babulnath has signed the contract. They instruct Babulnath to tell his family that he has taken a voluntary retirement from his office as they are giving him good benefits. Babulnath is tensed about telling Baari about his VRS. Baari and her kids are worried about Babulnath and manage to convince him to withdraw his decision of VRS. Vasu does not want Babulnath to shift to some other house for his reality show as it would not look real if he is made to stay in a luxurious house. Vasu asks Babulnath to tell his family that he is getting a promotion in his office and thus also an increment. But actually he will have to take VRS from his office and spend his time in Golden Eye office so that Vasu's team can give him the instruction on what will be their next step for the reality show.
Episode 14
Babulnath's family prays to god so that Babulnath drops his decision to resign from his job. Babulnath tells his family that he has got an increment at his work and also from now he will work only for 5 hours daily. Babulnath's family had decided that they will not watch television on Monday for 16 weeks if Babulnath takes his resignation back. Bunty ask for Rs.100 from Babulnath to buy a gift for his girlfriend but Babulnath refuses to give him the money. Later Rajnigandha asks him to allow Bunty to celebrate Valentine's Day and give him the money. Pintu calls Babli to wish her Valentine's Day. Babulnath gives a handmade greeting card to Baari on Valentine's Day.
Episode 16
Babulnath is camera conscious and has a stage fright. Vasu and his team comes up with an idea that Babulnath should be given training in acting to shed his inhibitions. Mayuri suggests a trainer who also taught her acting skills. Guruji is hired to teach Babulnath some acting skills. Babulnath finds it very difficult to learn what Guruji tries to teach him. Guruji teaches Babulnath how to walk and speak. He thinks Babulnath's body language is very stiff & therefore asks him to do some exercises. The Golden Eye channel people are amused as to how all this will help him? Vasu stops Babulnath's training as he thinks that Babulnath need not learn speaking and acting skills as this won't help him shed his stage fear. Later Babulnath is very much fascinated by Guruji's teaching. He practices all the modes of expression that were taught by Guruji, he does so right in the middle of the road at the bus stop without any shyness. Rajni notices Babulnath practicing all this and assumes that Babulnath will be confident now when he faces the camera.
Episode 17
Babli has a new hobby of writing poems. Pintu sees Babli waiting at the bus stop and tries to approach her. Meanwhile the bus comes and Babli runs to catch the bus but drops her book at the bus stop. Pinto finds the book and decides to return it to Babli. He decides to give a bouquet of flowers with the book. But when he reaches the florist to buy flowers he is disappointed as the florist tells him that all the bouquets are sold. Due to some miscommunication the florist assumes that Pinto was expressing his sorrow for someone's death and wants to send flowers. Thus he agrees to send a bouquet on Pinto's request. The florist gets the flower bunch ring at Babulnath's house and everyone thinks that Babulnath has passed away. But later the confusion was solved when Babulnath comes in front of them. Bunty finds the book with the flowers and suspects that someone has written a warning note for Babulnath. Babli confesses that the book belongs to her when Babulnath reads the poetry from the book which is written by Babli.
Episode 18
Vasu and his team want to add some drama to their reality show. Vasu comes with a plan that if Babulnath's housemaid does not come for the job even for 2 days they will get more drama and interesting footage. He bribes the maid and asks her not to work at Babulnath's house for 2 days. Babulnath decides that the whole family will help Baramasi since the maid is not coming to do their household work. Baramasi meets with an accident while doing some work. Babulnath gets possessive knowing that the cameras are fitted in his house.
Episode 19
Rajni suggests Vasu that Babulnath should be given a mobile phone. Bunty and Babli are very thrilled when they come to know that Babulnath is going to own a mobile phone. Vasu shows Babulnath some phone which has too many features and a tech savvy Babulnath instead selects a phone which is the cheapest. Bunty is very upset when he sees Babulnath's phone. He is very embarrassed to show Babulnath's phone to his friends. Babulnath faces many problems while using the mobile phone.
Episode 20
Babulnath buys flowers to impress Baari. Baari discourages Babulnath for buying flowers for her everyday and wasting money. Bubbly advises Baari against discouraging her father as he was only trying to get romantic and tried to impress her by buying flowers for her. Dinu comes to Babulnath's house but is not allowed to speak anything to Baari as he fears Dinu would inform her about his absenteeism from office for many days. Baari understands Babulnath's feelings and tries to get romantic. Babulnath is surprised to see a revamped Baari but is hesitant to show his affection due to the cameras in the room. Later Baari laughs at Babulnath for giving her flowers meant for Pooja's.
Episode 21
Bari tells Babulnath that she wants to do a job and be independent. Bari tells him that she wants to work so that she can manage her household expenses. Babulnath does not want Bari to work but encourage her as she is very keen on doing a job. Vasu and Radhika call Babulnath to office immediately and ask him to stop Bari from doing a job. But Babulnath refuses saying he won't upset Bari and wants her to live her life in her own way. Bari informs Mini that she will not work for her anymore as she is looking for a full time job. Mini offers her to work as partner and is ready to give her 50% share in her business but Bari refuses. Bunty and Babli watch a programme on television and realise that it is April Fool's day. Babulnath and his family play a game in which everyone has to lie. Babulnath confesses that he has signed a contract with a channel for a reality show and now his family will feature on television. But nobody believes him as they think he is fooling them. Later Bari tells them that she was also fooling them by saying that she wants to do a full time job.
Episode 22
Vasu's associates keeping a vigil on Babulnath's family receive Babulnath's aunt's letter from the postman. Vasu does not inform Babulnath that his aunt would be visiting him on Gudi Padwa. Babulnath and his family are excited and prepare for Gudi Padwa. Babulnath is thrilled to receive the first cheque from Vasu. Babulnath's aunt is excited to see Babulnath's family. Vasu is scared as he feels Babulnath's aunt is suspicious about the cameras in the house.
Episode 23
Vasu is worried as Babul's Atya is playing a major role in his family and due to this all the attention is diverted towards her as she being in the limelight every time. Radha Bai does like Atya interfering in her work. She fools Atya and makes her do the household work. Vasu assigns a task to Mayuri to count on which member in Babulnath's house creates more drama and laughter. Vasu and Rajni are tensed as Atya and Radha Bai in the family are able to create more laughter than Babulnath. Atya plans a surprise for Babulnath after his promotion and arranges a dinner table in the corridor of their chawl. Vasu orders his team to create such situations that Atya leaves Babulnath's house soon.
Episode 24
The TV crew are tensed as Atya enters their recording van. They somehow take Atya out of the van and avoid Atya from knowing that Babulnath's house has many cameras installed. Babulnath does not allow Atya to throw the photographs on which the Fly Cams had been installed. Vishnu is tensed about Atya and devises a plan to force Atya to go back to her village. Babulnath is shocked to see on TV that Atya has been chosen for a cookery show which would be shot in her village. Babulnath is sad while Vishnu is happy to know that Atya has left for her village.
Episode 25
Babulnath dreams that he is appearing for exams and Mini is the exam supervisor. Bunty, Babli and their friends study late in the nights for their exams. Bunty's friends plan to cheat during the exams. Everyone falls asleep while studying in the night. Babulnath refuses the cable connection guy to connect the Goldn Aaye channel. Baramasi tells Mini ben that she wants to start the business in partnership with her. Mini ben has no option and agrees to her. Babulnath's neighbour Bharat informs him that two siblings are caught cheating during their exams. Babul and Bari are worried as Bharat tells them that Bunty and Babli might be the students who are caught cheating during the exams. Later Babulnath and Baramasi are relieved when they come to know that Bharat's son is caught cheating during the exams.
Episode 26
Bunty's friends see Babulnath with Rajnigandha. They inform Bunty and Babli that their father is having an affair with Rajni. Bunty confronts Babulnath about this. Bunty tells her that he does not want his friends to criticize him saying that his father has a girlfriend and not him. Babulnath asks Vasu to change the executive producer of the show and he wants to deal with only guys. Babulnath watches the video in which Bari discusses with Babli how Babulnath has changed. Babulnath again refuses to continue the show saying that he does not want to lie to his family. Vasu makes him take the lie detector test. They operate that manually and show Babulnath that he is an expert liar by now. Vasu gives Babulnath a paid holiday for a month and in this period they will remove all cameras from his house.

Episode 5
Babli plans to meet the guy she likes for the first time. Baari is worried that it would rain heavily clogging the water pump causing water shortage. Baari gives her umbrella to Bunty who also plans to meet his friends. Babulnath warns Bunty against losing the umbrella as he had gifted the umbrella to Baari. Babli tries to hide as Bunty too lands up at the same restaurant. Babli calls up her boyfriend to wear a burkha as Bunty is also present in the restaurant. One of the guys from the channel, also in a burkha flicks the umbrella from Bunty. Bunty returns home worried but a newly appointed girl from the channel comes and returns his umbrella. Bunty's friends later beat up and bring Babli's boyfriend dressed in a burkha mistaking him to be a thief to Bunty's house. Bunty later lets him go as because of him he got to meet the girl who had come to return his umbrella. Babli too returns home dejected as she couldn't meet her boyfriend. Baari is irritated when Bunty talks about moving to another house as she is emotionally attached to the house.
Episode 6
Vasu plans to shift Babulnath and his family to their new home but fears Baari could have problems. Vasu plans to introduce the family to highly sophisticated and comfortable lifestyle. Vasu makes them win an all expense paid 2 day stay in a resort. The family experiences a lavish lifestyle and comes back enjoying their stay at the resort.
Episode 7
Vasu lies to Mini and asks her to find a middle class family to shoot for a vaccination Ad as he wants to put up hoardings for the publicity of the show. Later Mini goes to Baari's house and reveals her the same and tries to convince her for the Ad. Bari agrees to do the Ad and the entire family goes for the shoot.
Episode 8
Babulnath and his family are excited when they see their pictures in the newspaper. Vasu asks Babulnath to shift to a new house. Babulnath lies to his family that he has been posted outside town and will have to stay there for a year. Baari is upset hearing this. Babulnath tries to convince his family to shift to the new house. Later they decide to move to new house.
Episode 9
Babulnath wants to shift a cupboard from his old house but finds it very difficult. All his colony people help Babulnath in shifting the heavy cupboard. Pinto calls Babli as she will be going to her new house soon. Babli goes to meet Pinto and all their differences are solved. Babulnath and his family are very thrilled to be in their new house. Babli and Bunty are very excited as they come to know that they have their own separate rooms in the new house. Vasu tells Rajni that they have got many sponsors for the show. Rajni tells Babulnath that they have fixed microphones in the bathroom mirror so that it's convenient for them to converse.
Episode 10
Babulnath and his family shift and settle down in their new house. Jolly gets irritated and comes to the house disguised as a vastu expert and changes the arrangement of the furniture as they were obstructing the view of the cameras. The girl who had returned Bunty's umbrella visits them telling them that she is their neighbour. Babulnath gets very furious and goes to discuss about his family being put up on billboards all around. He faints after getting a lot of money as gift from Vasu.
Episode 11
Babulnath faints as Vasu gives him huge amount of money in dollars. Vasu sends a car to drop Babulnath back home as Babulnath is worried that the money might get stolen if he travels by bus. The driver stops half way and asks Babulnath to use some public transport as the car's horn gets dysfunctional. Babulnath avoids taking any public transportation. Bari's neighbours get some food for them again. Bari names her Anamika as they are not able to find her real name. Later it is revealed that Anamika is part of Vasu's team. Bunty is very much impressed with Anamika. Bubbly goes to Anamika's house to borrow the newspaper. Rajnigandha instructs Anamika to handle the situation and not let them acquire any newspaper. Anamika makes Bubbly wear some western clothes. Bari appreciates Bubbly's new attire. Babulnath comes back home and hides the money in the bathroom.
Episode 12
Bunty is lost in Anamika's thoughts. Bari asks Babulnath to take them to their old house for the weekend but Babulnath denies. Bari and kids give him an Ayurvedic preparation as Babulnath lies about stomach upset. Mini comes to know about the show featuring Babulnath's family and reaches Vasu's office and tries to threaten him to get money. Babulnath's family panics and calls Jolly as they think Babulnath has had a heart attack but are relieved when they come to know that Babulnath is sleeping due to the side effect of the medicine given to him.
Episode 13
Babulnath regains consciousness. Vasu comes to scare the family from returning to their home by cooking up a story about a cheetah on the prowl nearby. Babulnath pops sleeping pills as he cannot sleep due to the money he has. Everybody at Golden aaye channel is ecstatic as their first episode would be telecasted.
Episode 14
The first episode of Babulnath's reality show is to be aired but Babulnath is not happy. He is guilty and mentally stressed as he is forced to lie to his family. Rajnigandha hires a cable operator to provide cable connection in Babulnath's area and instructs him to block their channel 'Goldn aaye' and also news clippings related to their show. She also sends Anamika to shoot the family introduction footage under the pretext of a college project. Jolly brings Mini ben to Babulnath's house, Babulnath is shocked to see her and scared that Mini Ben will reveal his secret to his family, but Rajnigandha assures him that Mini ben has been sworn to secrecy and he need not worry. Baramasi is very disturbed about the inauspicious happenings in their life after shifting in their new house and asks Babulnath for permission to keep a puja in the house. The first episode of the show is a huge success and the Babulnath family becomes famous overnight. Babulnath is extremely disturbed and requests Vasu to allow him to reveal the secret to his family or else leave the show. Vasu respects his decision and lets Babulnath leave the show but on the condition that the 9 lakhs given as advance be returned back to them.
Episode 15
Babulnath's family prepares for a puja at their place. Bari wants to prepare the sweets for the puja herself , but Jolly buys the sweets from the shop as that shop is one of the sponsors for the reality show. Some news reporters go to Babulnath's old house but are disappointed when they find the door locked. The cable channel at Babulnath's house starts operating. Babulnath gets tensed when Bunty and Babli tune in to 'Goldn Aaye' channel. The puja at Babulnath's house begins. Vasu and his team sneak into Babulnath's house and steal all their belongings as the entire family is busy with the puja. Jolly tries to find the 9 lakh dollars that they had paid to Babulnath. Vasu and Jolly are amazed when they find out that Babulnath had hidden the money in the bathroom. Bari insists Anamika that she wants to meet her father. One of Vasu's team member acts as Anamika's father. Babulnath and his family are shocked when they find out that their entire household stuff has been stolen. Babulnath is worried as his 9 lakh dollars are also stolen. Babulnath meets Vasu and asks him to find out the thieves through the camera recording but Vasu tells him that they were unable to capture those thieves on the camera. Babulnath is stunned when his fans ask him for his autograph. Vasu tells Babulnath that since he cannot return the money, he will have to continue the show.
Episode 16
Babulnath's family is upset over the robbery. Anamika takes Bunty and Babli for an outing. Babulnath is ecstatic as Vasu gives him a credit card. Bari too is happy when Babulnath shows her the credit card and a bottle of wine given by Vasu. Bunty and Babli are joyous and share their experience about the trip with their parents. Bunty is overjoyed as Babulnath shows him the credit card given by the company. Babulnath goes for shopping with his family.
Episode 17
Babulnath and his family are on a shopping spree. The shopping is organised by the channel people. The family buys tons of stuff in the mall. The channel plans to add an element of reality in their show. Babulnath is quizzical when he hears about the person whom the channel guys want him to meet.
Episode 18
The whole house is nicely decorated by the channel guys for Babli's birthday. Dinu too visits Babulnath on Babli's birthday. Rajesh Kumar, a film personality, adds colour to the party. Vasu and his associates decide to reveal about the show to everybody in the family. Babulnath is given a makeover. Bunty is surprised when he is thronged by people at the bus stop complimenting him for his role in the show.
Episode 19
Babulnath enters the house after a makeover trying to fool Bari and Bunty as Somnath, a cousin of Babulnath. Bunty is excited to see his family's hoardings all around. Bari later recognises that it's Babulnath who's trying to fool them. Babulnath after realising that Bunty has come to know about the show tells him not to inform Bari and Babli. Bari signs the business contract with Mini. Vasu plans to find a guy named Pintu who was in love with Babli to add a romantic element to the show.
