Just want to say is mahi the directors daughter she has been given more importance when we all know even with widows clothes what a suberb actress soni is. even I liked raji they took her out; Please give a strong line to soni if you want show not to fail thanks just care

Sejal2005, what proof do you have that Neha Bamb, who plays Mahi in the show, is the producer or director's daughter??? Just because she is does not mean that the show is revolving around her mostly. It's not....it's equal between her and the girl who's playing Soni. They both get their shots and they are both good actresses. Even for the sake of argument, Neha Bamb is the daughter of the director of the show, they are not going to give Neha more scenes over Soni, and vice versa.

Mahi is NOT the main character of this story. And I am speaking from a very unbiased tone because I have no preference for any of the actresses and characters. Just because an actress is popular does not make her the central role. Originally, Raji was the main role. Now with her gone, Soni and Mahi are equally matched. Both get the same amount of screen time. Both of their stories are given equal prominence. Both are permanent roles. Both appear in the title screen. Also recall the title sequence when the show first began. Who was the focus then? Raji. She was the one getting married while Soni and Mahi only appeared briefly. It was Raji's relationship with Durga and her marriage to Veer that had the most importance.

With all of that said, how can anyone seriously argue that Mahi is the star? Just because she is YOUR favorite character, just because Neha Bamb is more popular or famous, and just because you choose to focus on Mahi's story the most means absolutely nothing. The story decides who the main characters are, not the actors or actresses. In the beginning of the show, hardly any notable Mahi and Soni scenes were presented. They were there simply to help Raj as she tried to survive Durga's cruelty, go back to school, take care of Simran, etc. Mahi may have been involved, but she was not the central focus. If you believe so, that is only indicative of your own bias, and no one here can deny that there is a strong bias towards Mahi and Neha. I have nothing against that, nor do I have anything against Mahi or Neha. I am simply stating that the people here are not the most objective.
