Bani:" Hey Rano!! I will reach there in 20mins!! You gals stay put where you are now, C ya soon"
Picking up her Sling bag Bani hopped out from the house without a word to anyone in the hall. Kiran was quietly wiping her tears and ND sat perplexed, thinking about the explanation he has to give to UW& KW.
UW:" Nishikant, ab hame hotel wapas chalna chahiye, hamari flight kal dopeher ko 2 baje hai, I hope we can meet over an early lunch tomorrow. Aur kal tum Jai se bhi mil lena, kya kehte ho?"
ND(Still distraught): " Sure Uday bhaiya, to kal ka meeting pakka"
ND& KD said goodbye to the Walias & came back desolated and horrified at Bani's behaviour. All hopes of this marraige crashed down within minutes. But Uday Walia had respected the long term friendhip and had not uttered a word, any one else in his position would never leave the house without insulting her parents.
Bani misses the Tube and then thinks of taking a Taxi ...while taking out her wallet from her bag she finds Jai's photo and stares at him.
Bani( thinking to herself):" Not bad Mr. Walia, shakal surat to thik thak hai...par umar main mujhse kuch jyada bade lagte ho...."
Just then Jai comes walking to the same taxi stand. Bani collides into some one while pacing up and down waiting for the taxi. She starts shouting immediately,
Bani:" What the hell, watch out, will ya??"
Jai:" I'm sorry, i wasnt there in this world"
Bani(recognises him): "Arre wah!! Mere hone wale dulha!!! Kahan the tum preetam pyare...tumhare daras ko nain mere haare"
Jai was surprised and stared at her for a moment and then it clicked...this must be that baby with whom his parents have decided to tie him up for ever.
Jai:" Good Lord!! Are you Bani Dixit from America??"
Bani(offering a hand):" Yes the one & only"
Jai:" hey you are so young, what the hell did my parents see in you??"
Bani:" What?? You dont like me?? You dont want to marry me??"
She started howling and crying her heart out. Jai was in a fix and started consoling her and at last yelled at her to stop crying.
Jai:" Ok please apna rona band kar meri ma, warna abhi police ajayega , aur hum dono ko ander kar dega"
Bani:" Kyun kya main itna buri lagti hun jo tumne shadi karne se mana kar diya? kya main bad surat hun? mujhse shadi kyun tod rahe ho??"
Jai:" Listen Bani, you are very beautiful, you are perfect , but the thing is , I just broke up with my girlfriend of 5 years and got to know some startling facts about my relationship with her. And I need some time to assimilate all the happenings of the day, so please I cant jump into marriage just now. Please try to understand my situation", Jai pleaded.
Bani took out a tissue from her bag, blew her nose hard and throwing it into the bin gave Jai a no nonsense look.
Bani:" Damn good, apne mummy papa ke samne yehi sab, issi style main bolna, aur mujhe badme koi nautanki nahi dekhni hai...so say the same dialogues. "
Jai gaped at Bani incredulously, what is the girl saying??
Jai(in his mind):" Abhi to aise ro rahi thi jaise ke uske sar pe asman tut gaya, aur abhi aise order de rahi hai, jaise ke main iske baap ka naukar hun!!"
Turning back, Bani started going towards the car, then came to Jai again.
Jai was scared, ab kya bolne agayi, kahin isne apna irada to nahi badal diya??
Bani:" Aur suno Mr., sare dialogues ke saath yeh bolna mat bhulo,
"" Bani ko iss shadi se koi problem nahi thi aur woh bahut achi ladki hai"" ".
Giving him her best possible smile Bani flicked an errant lock of hair and started going. Jai was sweating by now!! Kya ladki hai!!! Pal main tola, pal main masha!!!
