i think she meant that she will do as the man says and act as he wants. Basically a wife that follows everything her husbands wants and fulfills his needs.

today, i think this is still existant. i mean i am a wife and i act like that too...but dont get me wrong, when i disagree, it all hits the fan 😆

According to me.. just blindly following the husbands instructions would not make any lady an adarsh patni.. this way the husband will continue to commit the mistakes which are not objected or pointed out by the wife..

Adarsh patni is the one who helps the husband on all the avenues in life... participates in decision making, stays by his side through all ups and downs of life.. and even point out shortcomings or wrong actions or mistakes of her husband… Adarsh pati would be the same vice versa

Nothing wrong in it .. BUt I am sure your husband follows everything that you want and fulfills your needs .. My mom also does what my dad wants but then have never seen my dad disagree with what my mother had to say. He would never dare disagree with her 😆😆😆 Nahin toh khana hi nahin banega 😆

yup, i think it's more about being there for eachother instead of acting as a servant in your own house.

Basically it all depends on how a women want to portray herself as..either she can live for herself with dignity n self respect or for society ..who has stamped duties of adarsh wife or what ever crap...
am married too..me n my hubby live life like two friends staying under the same roof ..both of us are doctors ..when am on duty he cooks n i cook when he is on duty ..if both are free..we cook depending on who has a mood to do the work ..or we order a take away ..no ego clashes...
and after marriage i dint move into his house ,neither changed my surname ..we both moved out n started our new home..his parents carry the same importance as mine ..and i conveyed it to them right in the beginning of the wedding ...in laws n parents are both part of the family n shud be treated the same way...jus because a girl gets married ..she doesnt have to leave her parents n cry as if she lost them ..
it all depends on ..how u want to lead your life.even i had to listen to people trying to oppose such behaviour but ..i dint bend down to such illogical traditions ..and now me n hubby are very very happy ..
