What option does a woman have....

TKTG has raised a very good point for many women. I know lots of you can't identify with this serial, but most of it (though exaggerated) is very true doesn't matter what strata of society you belong 2.

Parents get you married & are rid of all responsibilty. When husband & his family talk of divorce, what option does a woman have. Revolt or bear up.

This is not just true in India but also here in US/western countries. Couple of years back when I was not a mom I would volunteer for a org which helped abused females & most of the females coming here were South-Asians who come on H4 visa. They werenot as much physically abused as mentally abused , no car , no friends no money in hand trying to save each penny to send back to India. After some time I stopped volunteering 'coz it was depressing seeing highly educated males abusing like that. This serial reminds me of that org. 😭😭😭

Education/financial independence is the most imp things/tool/weapon she should have.

If the Ladies were financial independent, then their attitude would be diff. No one give you respect unless you respect yourself first.

thats is very true, in our family it is always told that girls should get educated so that they are never dependent on anyone.

wow u made the point... and totally agree with you but i would like to shear this story to you ... this girl got married in india and came to us then she stayed with the guy till she became citizen the day she got athoritiz to live here she left somewhere with out telling anyone after few years they found out she got married to her old boy friend from india... and then she got divorce i mean can u believe it?? and now again she went to india to get married... the family was very formal very nice ppl even they treated her like daughter... so some woman do make circumstances.....

I would say thats the reason mans are becoming like that

she fake everything about abusing her....i was best friend to her for 4 years and happend to find out truth after she got 2nd divorce

so it's even hard to trust

The ladies have chosen to live that way especially the one who is a doctor and had a choice to open her own clinic and be financially independent but she still chose to stay with the family.
sometimes the social obligations and the prestige of the parents overrules the financial independance.
