Okay something really terrible happened due to editing this post..lolzz i'm writing my comments again!

As i was saying that, i agree that sneha's attitude towards bapuji is justified. For the fact that this is how sneha is raised. She always stand up for what she believes in and she is still living the double-life where she is only trying to make the family happy and not herself.

The moment she stepped in that house, she always felt that she wasn't given the place she deserves. She always was taunted by bua and sometimes mansukh. She is sacrificing her happiness for the family, and is going against her priciples that she was taught in her life. She is not only doing this for her family, but for the family she is living in now.

Bapuji also is not wrong sometimes. Due to a big incident, things have changed his life, unless who would be so egoistic and a big indrustialist who knows about the modern life and still treats the women with what he believes in. He is doing what his principles tell him to, and sneha is doing what she believes in.

If i was to be in sneha's place, then i would not tolerate anything, but knowing sneha and how she always stands up for equality, even she is putting up with everything just to make things right. She never raised her voice infront of any elders of the house, but always made her point clear politely. Well this is just my opinion!

cheers

lolz okies😆 .... i wuz wondering wat happened.😛

anywayz ... instead of making another post ... im just editing this .. i agree with ur viewpoint about sneha tina ... as a new bahu she shud have adjusted with the family first ... she shud tried to understand how they live, what their traditions and beliefs are like ... but instead...she tried to rebel as soon as she entered the family...which is a bad move if ur a new bahu!

lolz!! i know man i was replying some post for kasamh se and the next thing i know, i edited on this one!! lolzz

Jasleen i don't know, but she is not actually rebelling! she is trying to make things right, and she wants to get the self-respect that these women deserve in the house! I'm just curious why bapuji even thinks like this & what incident affected his life!

So yes, in a way i agree with sneha & bapuji(because he does have a reason for being like this) 😉

PS! guys i have put up discussion of the week! plz do participate in that, and do present your opinion!

cheers

I would just like to say that yes, as a new bahu, sneha has to show respect towards the elders, which she is doing. There are certain rituals & traditions that every new bahu should follow, even if they don't agree with it, to please their in-laws. But only as long as it doesnt harm her or affect her self-respect.

But in the world that we live in today, where most women are educated, professionals, broad minded, and are as independent as men, (but still are able to hold onto their values/morals), being chained in all the old traditions and with the old narrow mindedness about women, can be aggravating and can lower their self-esteem. Women have to make most of the adjustments after marriage. they are urged to change according to their in-laws.. in that process, they could end up losing their identity, that their parents helped create. For a person like Sneha, who is proud of her parents and her upbringing, it would be insulting to be put down and to be urged to change her ways and ideas. Every person has a mind and a brain, and it doesnt lower their values if they speak their minds.
