Written Update - June 25th 2010

Mugda goes and placates a tearful Devki and asks her to forget her pain today for Nishi's sake and participate in his happiness to which Devki agrees.

Pragya's boss (the Creeper, as he shall now be known as) shows up with a bouquet and basically done every inappropriate thing that one could possibly do at a wedding - from hugging the bride to hitting on her to hitting on the bride's friend and all this in front of family members! Needless to say, everyone was sort of shocked and upset and Prabha Kaki and Kaka had already started gossiping. Finally Nishi walks over and diffuses the situation by asking the Creeper (his name is Raj by the way! *gags* Achey khasey naam ka kachra kar diya!) to visit with his family.

Pragya notices Aayi praising Devki to a group of women and out of jealousy calls Devki over to meet with the Creeper and ends up insulting her by suggesting that Devki is illiterate and doesn't know English. Nishi, however, comes to Devki's rescue and that enrages Pragya a lot. (Personally, I LOVED it! I might actually enjoy the Devki-Nishi jodi but only after Nishi's repented his share first!)

Pragya changes her sari and her father informs her that he's going to go pay his share of the wedding expenses to Baba even though Pragya reminds him that Baba hasn't asked for it. Even then, her father wants to get this responsibility over with and leaves much to Pragya's despair. Pragya doesn't want to loose "her" money to her father-in-law so when the pandit asks for the "pheres" to start she manipulates Nishi into asking around for Baba and he is let to assume that there might be dowry involved.

In the room, Pragya's and Nishi's father are talking and even though Baba tells Pragya's father that the money is not important or needed, her father is adamant at wanting to fulfil his share of the responsibility and asks Baba to accept the expenses. Finally Baba agrees just to keep Pragya's father happy, but this end "exchange" is noticed by Nishi who thinks that Baba is taking dowry.

He walks in and goes rabid-dog-crazy on Baba for taking dowry, even though Baba keeps telling him that's not the case. Add to that Prabha Kaki who instigates Nishi into thinking that Baba was taking all this money as a "refund" for paying for Nishi's education and wedding (i.e. making him legible for marriage) and this pisses of Nishi more. Aayi and Mugda also walk over to the room and Aayi tries to make Nishi understand that he's mistaken but Nishi kisi ki sunney tab na. Finally Mugda walks up to him and the episode ends at their stand off.

Precap: Mugda sunao-fies Nishi and tells him that if it wasn't his wedding today, she'd have slapped him herself for insulting Baba so. The scene shifts to Pragya telling Prabha Kaki that she can get her way by being "nice" with the Kulkarnis and Prabha Kaki tells her to think "big" if she wants to get rich. ( I absolutely canNOT wait till Mugda gives that idiot a piece of her mind! *picks up her pom-pom* Go Mugda!!!)
