Tuesday.

Ram tells his mother, he is no able to take care of her in her old age. He tells her only Kasthuri can and leaves. Porkodi's brother asks her if she had spoken to Kasthuri about herself. Porkodi says no andboth decide to keep Kasthuri wih them.

Vishvanathan comes looking for Kasthuri. Finds out about the house being sold. Vishu then goes o Ganesh's house and and asks why he hid such news from him. Ganesh blabbers about Thiru killed in the train accident. Vishu is shocked and asks Ganesh why he hid the news from him. Ganesh says it was Kasthuri's wish.

Both go looking or Kasthuri but unable to find her and decide to look for her again the next day. THODARUM.

Jothi meets Kasthuri on the streets and calls her. After greeting each other, Jothi apologizes and ask Kasthuri to say with her and offers to buy a house for her. Jothi tells Kasthuri that Ram want to see her and ask for her forgiveness. Kasthuri refuses and takes leave.

Porkodi, her sisters and Kasthuri are at the motai maadi and talk about wedding arrangements for Porkodi and how she refused to ge married. The sisters tell Kasthuri, they want their brother to get married first and then they will agree to their marriage. They ask Kasthuri to help and she agrees to help them. THODARUM.

Update for Thursday, Sept 17, 2009:

Selvam is talking to someone about the kalyana budget on the phone. Kasthuri comes and gives him something to drink. He asks her if she has some problem, says it is the duty of a brother to solve his sisters' problems, but she says she has no problems.

Kasthuri is waiting at the temple. Ganesh comes to see her, he tells her about her father coming to see her and how he knows now about Thiru's accident and her leaving Kavya in the hostel. He tells her that he and her father have gone around looking for her for the past two days, but she refuses to tell him where she is. She says she is doing the kalyana veetu velai and he talks of her computer expertise and skills and how she could be making so much more. She says she is happy where she is now.

Back to Selvam and Kasthuri. Selvam wants to pay Kasthuri something but she refuses to take any payment. He talks of how he is not able to get Porkodi married, she tells him that his sisters do not want to get married and leave him alone, so he must get married first.

Kasthuri talks to Porkodi about getting married and tells her that she has a bridegroom picked out for her. His name is Ganesh!

Thodarum ....

Sorry about the brief update, but it is hard to get enthused about this dull show these days.

Friday 18/9/09

vaathu in a temple - meets a fortune teller who has visions
of Thiru - unconscious and in a hospital. Applies kumkum
on vaathu's forehead and says aatha showed her everything.
vaathu construes that the fortune teller talks about creep.

Thiru is in the hospital - admitted by the forest officer -dr
says "conscious innum varalai " ( i can hear Eljay gritting
her teeth... same sentiments here grrrrrrr) test... result...
blah blah. The forest office says that identity is not of
consequence - " oru yuir pizhakkanum" Inspector has his
crystal ball and says that Thiru is not a local guy . Thiru is
oblivious to the milieu ( hmmkuduthu vaicha mahanubavan)

Selvam's colleague comes with some accounts - some blah
blah - uh uh - also brings an alliance for Selvam - Selva does
not agree. Ganesh gander walks in - annalum (Porkodi)
nokkinaal , gander um nokkinaan.... vaathu is still in the temple-
expected any minute. Selvam informs Porkodi that this is the
prospective groom. Ganesh says that he is in a hurry and says that
he might as well see the bride .. Porkodi is not ready...

Monday 21/9/09 ( Archive's copy)

Ganesh "girl sees" Porkodi -she wants to have a word with him -
alone but Ganesh would much rather discuss with vaathu.
Doctor says that Thiru "will get conscious" (grrrr) in 2 or 3 days.
Vaathu comes back from the temple and learns that girl seeing
is over. Looks like Porkodi will marry Ganesh ( vaathu fixing
another life - ayye, neeyum un fixing um -) Porkodi wants Ganesh
to be a ghar jamai - vaathu agrees on behalf of Ganesh uh huh.
Vaathu playing waitress in Selvam's household. Well well, the
forest officer who saved Thiru is Selvam's maama - habbaaaaa
let vaathu reunite with Thiru and save us from any further agony.
Ayyappppaaaaaaaaa sevida ukkarnthu irukkathey,,,Sabari malai
le irunthu erangi vaa, The reason he gives for his visit makes vaathu
cry - visualize??? whateverrrrrrrrrrrrr

Vaanga Patsy - Tuesday

Kasthuri cries hearing he uncle talk about his patient(Thiru). Porkodi sees this and asks her why. Kasthuri tells about her husband Thiru and asks her not to reveal anything to anyone and she agrees. Uncle wans to meet Dr. Rajashekar (Ganga's father). Kasturi takes him there and uncle is surprised at how well Kasthuri treated there. Dr. tells uncle he will definitely visit the patient.

Dr and his family asks Kasthuri why she let the house and she tells them she never wants to meet Ram ever. She tells them about Selvam's family and how she helps them. Dr. says for Kasthuri's knowledge, he had intended to make her a famous psychologist (I thought we had to go thru medical school for this!) . Dr then asks Kasthuri to follow him or a conference in Coimbatore and she agrees.

Uncle tells Selvam about Kasthuri's relationship with Dr's family and is happy at being given an appointmen. He invites Kasthuri to visit him in Coimbatore. THODARUM.

Just a day more Patsy - Wednesday

A drunk Bharath loiters in some village and lies down at the roadside. His friend Raja sees him and asks hims to return home but Bharath refuses. Bharath tells Raja not to tell his wife about him and if he does, Bharath threatens go away for good. Ganesh/Porkodi wedding is finalised and would take place the next Friday.

Dr. Rajasekar, forest officer and another doctor see Thiru who is all bandaged up with only eyes and mouth showing. Thiru gains conciousness and the doctor asks his name. Thiru cannot remember anything. The doctor tell Thiru to rest and leave he room. The doctor tells Dr. Rajasekar and forest officer that Thiru has lost his memory due to severe injuries in his head.

Ganesh/Porkodi wedding over and all come home. Kasthuri take Porkodi's younger sister in and tells her to take aarti for the new couple. THODARUM.

Thursday 24/9/09

Porkodi and Ganesh - walk in - harathi. Porkodi consoles vaathu
saying that her hubby is safe somewhere. Vaathu cries. Raja,
his mom and sister - "net spread searching" for Bharath. Bharath
has water beaten and the important issue of Mangai knowing
all about Bharath is discussed as usual in the nadu theru.
Raja's mom lectures on "Life and how to deal with it". Repeats
the same thing over and over and Bharath feels bad saying that he
is the reason for Mangai loosing her baby.Finally Bharath goes to
their house with them. Vichu calls Ganesh and learns about vaathu.
Vichu says that he is unwell and wants to see vaathu asap. Ganesh
promises to send vaathu. Asks Vaathu to go and see daddy gander. After
some initial hesitation vaathu agrees.Raja's mom gives another lecture on life.
Bharath decides to go to Mangai . he carries Jeyanthi's bag - gets to see the
photo of Jeyanthi's would have been hubby - bingo... the same person ..
who is supposed to marry Raja's sister....Bharath is shocked.

A tunnel without an end....

Bharath compares the photos - notes down the address tell Raja & family that he has an important work to attend. Raja's mom asks him to come back the next morning to fix the date for Banu's wedding. Kasthuri comes to visit her father and... yes yes.. all of you guessed right... Friday special RKO...each blaming their own headletter just like we do... kasthuri comes back to Porkodi's house where they are having lunch and she joins them. Bharath goes in search of Thyagu. Thyagu tells how he was saved in the accident, was searching for Jayanthi,how he went to chennai and saw that a husband had signed her into a hostel. All doubts are cleared between them. Thyagu wants to see Jayanthi. Bharath wants to talk to Raja & family before he takes Thyagu to meet Jayanthi.
