Continues from yesterday - Masil tells Kashturi when he dies, she must do the last rites for him and leaves. Jayanthi comes home for a visit. Mangai tells her about their plans to visit her in Chennai and for her to take them around. Neighbor comes there saying she is going to send her daughter back to her husbands house. Sindha asks why and is told that her DIL and daughter are both in their trimester and should not be in the same house so she is sending her daughter back to her house. Sindha says she has no such problem because Jayanthi is not married. Jayanthi gives her poonai parvai. Bhharath returns and is happy to see Jayanthi and tells her about Mangai's plan to visit her. Everyone adjuorn to get ready for food.

Thiru goes to the living and sees Kavya asitting alone. He asks her what is wrong. Kavya wants mommy. Thiru tells her that mommy will come back soon. Maid brings food and thiru starts to feed her. Kavya asks if it is true that Kasthuri is in jail for killing someone. Thiru is shocked and asks who told her this. Kavya says the maid told her. Thiru goes to the maid and tells her to do her work only and not to get into other business. Maid apologizes and gets back to work. Thiru rtirns to Kavya and tells her that mommy will come back soon. Kavya wants to go see Kasthuri and Thiru tells her he will take her.

Thiru brings Kavya to meet Kasthuri. Kasthuri tells Kavya to take care of herself and to be good. Kavya wants to stay with Kasthuri. Kasthuri tells Kavya that cannot be and for the to go home and be a good person. Thiru asks a policewoman to watch Kavya for a few minutes as he wants to talk to Kasthuri alone. After Kavya is taken out, Thiru tells Kasthuri about Soma meeting him and asking him to marry Sophia. Kasthuri tells Thiru not to give in because when he marries Sophia Kavya's life would be spoiled. She tells Thiru not to sacrifice his life for her. Thiru says he cannot stand by watching Kasthuri suffer in jail. He also says that both Soma and Sandhya are trying to blackmail him. He tells Kasthuri that he would have been happy if they have accused him of killing Rekha instead because is is him they want not Kasthuri. Kasthuri once again tells him to be patient and that she is used to jail life as it isnot new to her. THODARUM.
