Tamizh switched on the lights, "Ei! Ena nenachutu iruka un manasula? Romba overa pesura?"
Thulasi, "Einga? Naan sonnatha nenachu ein ivalo kavala padureinga? Varatheigaluku thaan arutham illaya."
Tamizh, "Ena olara?" sitting on the bed next to her.
Thulasi, "You have never meant the words you said. Enuma la irunthu naanum apdi thaan. Varuthaikum aruthathukum samanthemai irukathu."
Tamizh, "Puriyala?", still angry.
Thulasi, "Neenga enaku divorce kuduthutu approm illa nan anaikei antha paper a kelichu potutenu sonnengalai; atha innaikum nan namburen." ; pausing to look at him intensely showing all the pain in her eyes and when he didn't say anything she reached to shut the lights only to be stopped by him. His fingers light as feathers on her hands.
Tamizh, "Thulasi?"; his voice quivering.
Though she tried her best to control herself, a tear rolled down her cheek, "Nama kolantha. Namaloda motha kolantha. Athu alingathuku karanamanavala nalavanu sonna; avan nalavala irunthalum enaku ketavathan. Ethir kolantha namaku peranthalum motha kolantheiya bali kuduthathuka vethana enaikum thirathu. Pothumga, enala ithuka mela unga kuda sanda poda mudiyathu. Nan thoonganum." switching off the lights and settling to sleep.
The moon light fell on her face. Pain clearly written all over, as she controlled her tears. He looked at her, not sure how to react; he caressed off the tears from her cheek. She hushed off his hands and turned over putting the covers over her head. As the hour was late, he settled down to sleep, expecting the morning to be a dawn of a better life together.

Early morning, Tamizh turned over in his sleep expecting to hug Thulasi; but woke up with a start to find emptiness.
Tamizh, "Ivalo kalaila enga poirupa?"
He looked at the clock. It was 10. "Aiyayoo. Bank kila innaiku 9 maniku meeting vera undai. Enga pona iva?"
"Thulasi? Thulasi?" coming out to the hall, "Amma? Cha! Avunga thaan neithu Lavanya veetuku poitangalai. Thulasi?!" He looked around everywhere and realized that she wasn't anywhere in the house. Where did she go? He casually went to the washroom to freshen up, where he realized that her toothbrush was also gone. Washing his face, he looked at the mirror in a shocking realization. Did she? Did she leave? Did she leave without a word?
