The JP tweet that Fatima posted makes me think that the show would end with neither SE OR DE..Maybe one of this will happen

1. Elena dies while saving DS and DS reunite which will be a parallel to the Katherine situation
2. Elena turns Human..DS compell Elena to forget everything and leave MF while Elena ends up being with a human and have a human life while DS reunite

I really hope none of this actually happen...but well you never know with JP

Ever since I heard that comment from JP and different comments that they make in the show through varies characters gave me the feeling that the Salvatore brother would not be the ones ending up with Elena.

^^But If they die to save Elena..won't that just be D/K/S all over again..I mean yes they can parallel that and show that "History repeated again"..but I really don't think that would happen coz they have already implied that Elena broke the "petrova curse" or whatever that was

Tatia = Had a baby when she was young = Could never choose b/w 2 Brothers

Katherine = Had a baby when she was young = Could never choose b/w 2 Brothers *though I don't buy Katherine's "I loved them both"..that is complete bogus..she obviously loved Stefan and just used Damon for sex*

Elena = Didn't had a baby..and now she can't even coz she's a Vampire = Will choose b/w 2 Brothers??

I really hope the show ends with DE finally getting together and Stefan accepting that and moving on.This is the ONLY ending which would actually satisfy all these 3 character's journey

Damon's Journey = To find True Love
Elena's Journey = To grow up and get what she wants *which is passionate/consuming love..which only Damon can give her*
Stefan's Journey = To finally stop brooding and accept his flaws and not be ashamed of who he is

But then again..It's JP whose writing this show..she loves DS and find them "epic" so I won't be shocked if the show does end on DS with the message "family above all" which in this case is comlete bogus coz I have always felt Alaric was more of a brother to Damon than Stefan and DS are just tolerating each other 🥱

BTW Damon WON the "Bad Boy" competition.He won over Neal over 50.44% to 49.56%, less than half a percentage point.That was really close.But DAMON WON..WOHOOO
