Actually what I really think is happening is that the writers have sensed the apathy among the fanbase.There is no excitement..no discussion..no nothing.This is entirely different situation compared to what happened after 3x14.After 3x14 DE'ers were angry/mad but now they just don't care..I know most of them don't *including me*..Now it's just "ehhh we'll see what happens" and frankly speaking DE'ers not caring is WAY MORE WORSE than DE'ers being mad coz If they would have been mad then it means they still would care but the whole not excited at all attitude is really scary and I think TVD producers/writers are shit scared now..and they have every reason to be.No matter how much they deny it DE'ers ARE the largest fanbase of TVD and seeing no excitement among DE'ersfor S4 can be really terrifying..And so this is why all of a sudden JP is giving SO many +ve DE interviews.They know they have lost some viewers and they ARE trying to get them back.
