S3E07: Ghost World
So I saw the episode early, for me, but life prevented me from posting this as soon as I wanted. How epic was this episode? Seriously? The tomb vampires, and Anna, and Lexi and ohemgee, Mason! Would've been nice is Jenna was there too, but I'm pretty sure they were referring to her in the beginning during the 'family meeting' between Ric, Jeremy and Elena.

Overview
I love the whole explanation for the 'other side' ' the whole thing Grams told Bonnie about her creating a door when she brought Jeremy back and the Original Witch taking advantage of that to create a foothold using first Vicki then Bonnie's own magic? Makes me really want to believe that the Original Witch is Morgana Le Fay. Come on, how cool would that be?
Love the fact that the first reaction of both Mason and Lexi was to smack the people they were haunting. Mason tortured Damon a bit (and Damon thought it was Stefan? I can sort of see that, but did anyone else catch a glimpse of Stefan's worry before he pulled that thing out of Damon's stomach?) And Lexi smashed Stefan's head into a car window. Epic.
Haunted By Mistakes
Damon and Mason are very entertaining together. I actually really love scenes when Damon's with people other than Elena, in this season anyway. Maybe because then he's more season one Damon and less OOC. At least, that's the way I feel sometimes. The last episode? Damon was Damon throughout, which made for awesomeness. [I don't know if I brought up how much I loved the Buffy crack he made, and the way he was helping Elena learn how to kill a vampire.]
This though, this whole Damon being Damon and not understanding why Mason was so okay with his having killed him and making cracks and generally trying to annoy the heck out of Mason was just plain epic. Their lines were hilarious ' their banter, as always, was amazing.
"I'm a ghost, not God." may be one of my favourite lines ever scripted.

I loved how long it took Alaric to forgive Damon too. It's realistic, in a way, and the scene in the end with Ric being annoyed with Damon for recycling his lines? Yeah, could the two just run away together already? They are so in love with one another. [Oh shush, their bromance could so be a romance if you just take that scene out of context. Context? Who needs it?]

What Mason says about not needing revenge, and needing redemption should hopefully stay with Damon, because they are sometimes in the same position. Damon does things without thinking, leading to bad situations, but he needs to start thinking now, because it's the only way to save Stefan.

[I ADORE the fact that Mason has recognized the lengths Damon will go to for Stefan. ADORE IT.]
Haunted By Friends

Lexi is back! *does a dance Even if only for this one episode. I love her. And I missed her. And her being all epic and trying to save Stefan is just wonderful. She would have made such an awesome friend for Bonnie/Elena/Caroline. Just saying. Why did they have to kill her off?

Anywho, her back-and-forth with Stefan lends some insight into their friendship. She's always saving him from self-destruction, but now that she's gone, it's going to be up to Elena.

Paul Wesley was superb in the entire episode. Was I the only one to see Stefan and ripper!Stefan warring in his face? Because there were glimpses of our Stefan, Elena's Stefan, throughout. He's fighting to come back to Elena, to let his emotions rule him again, to care and to love, because his family ' Elena, Damon and all the others, they'd all get hurt otherwise. Fantastic acting by Paul.

I absolutely adored the bit when Stefan pulls the log out of Damon's chest - he doesn't have to, but that look on his face when he considers it, even after laughing at Damon for getting himself into that predicament, that face tells me that Stefan definitely cared that his brother got hurt and a part of him wanted to rip whoever hurt Damon apart. And then his emotions got pushed back, but he still acted on that. And he keeps showing these glimpses, but it seems like the only person to acknowledge that is Elena, at the moment, but that Damon is hoping (as pointed out by Mason - Damon is willing to do anything for Stefan).
Elena's pain at having to hurt Stefan, but her determination, all were portrayed very well by Nina. [I missed having Katherine around in this episode. And where the heck was Rebekah?]
Haunted By Love

Gah, the whole Jeremy/Anna/Bonnie thing breaks my heart because as much as I love Jeremy/Anna together ' they were adorable and genuinely loved one another and it is so evident that Jeremy never truly got over her and he was Anna's everything ' they broke my Bonnie's heart. What does it take for Bonnie to get someone for herself?
Elena pointing out to Jeremy that he couldn't love a ghost ' a parallel she drew with her own relationship, very well done ' was heartbreaking, but also the closure both Jeremy and Anna probably needed. While I wonder how Jeremy/Bonnie are going to move on from this (I hope they work things out), I'm glad Jeremy got to say a proper goodbye to Anna.
The reunion between Anna and Pearl was heartbreaking and wonderful and I am so glad they found each other again. So many centuries and they still love each other so very much.

Haunted
Bonnie's magic being used by the Original Witch to help the ghosts gain a foothold in the real world has to have a bigger reason. I'm sure the OW has a bigger reason than simply causing chaos. What could she want?
The little Damon/Bonnie scene (with Caroline, I know, but all I really saw was Damon/Bonnie finally interacting on screen this season) with Damon telling Bonnie of dj vu because he knew she would get it shows some improvement in their relationship. That and her not insulting him straight off the bat or trying to kill him. Progress! Maybe they'll actually be friends by the end of the season.
Bonnie had to lose her Grams all over again. *sobs And my heart broke alongside hers. I had to keep myself from crying. Kat brings this emotion across so well.

I love the Caroline/Bonnie friendship. And the sisterhood between the three. Love the fact that Elena was staunchly on Bonnie's side for the whole Jeremy/Anna/Bonnie thing because she knows her brother is in the wrong. So glad we had some focus on the friendships between all three. I have been missing it.
Famous Last Words
Why is the necklace back? Why is the necklace back? *creeped out Seriously though, what is the OW's plan? I'm worried. (And apparently, so is Bonnie.)
And what the heck were the cave drawings that stumped Ric?
