If he walked away from Elena, it was cause he wanted to SAVE Damon. He didnt care abt the consequences, he didn't care that he may lose Elena forever, KNOWING that Damon loves Elena. In fact, he knew Damon would protect her, and he trusted Damon to never let anything happen to Elena. THAT'S selfless love. He didn't leave her cause he didn't love her or he found somebody else. Hell, EVERYONE saw WHY Stefan left. Then how the hell does that make Stefan's love weak???

I SO agree with your words, Ishita. He left for Damon, the 'D' part of Delena. So DE fans should be thankful to Stefan for keeping their man alive 😎

He didn't act like an insecure loser, who wouldn't leave Elena even when his brother was dying, just cause he was scared that he'd lose her forever. AND I'm sure only Stefan could have the heart and the courage to take a step like this. He hasn't cheated on Elena, for god's sake. He left cause he loved his brother MORE than he loved Elena probably, and it's sad to see what he's getting in return now.

If Stefan had refused to save Damon, if he'd refused to become a ripper, he'd be hated more today, cause then he'd be selfish, a coward, blah blah.. He gave himself up, he gave everything up for those two people, and even today he's termed selfish. His problem is that he cares just too much, even when he shouldn't be giving a fuc*.
If it weren't for Stefan, in fact, Elena maiyya wouldn't ever have been in this "confused" state abt her feelings. She'd NEVER have had to make a choice. So there.

Somebody is very very pissed off 🤣 needless to say though, but I AGREE Ishuuu! Well, let them just live in their own world where Damon is the most "selfless" guy, and Stefan is "selfish" and not "loyal" to Elena etc etc *rolls eyes* And we'll just hope that Stefan has a happily ever after with someone who loves him for who he is.

Exactly. A big reason for me to stop watching this show is the ugly shipping wars and the amt of hypocrisy. Just cause ppl ship one pair, they'll follow any blind logic to put down the other pair. STEFAN and SELFISH is just the biggest joke EVER. The guy does everything to save his brother, sacrificing himself, his love in the process, agrees to let her go and still wishes for her happiness, and gets crap in return and then loads of stupid retarded and logicless hate. Disgusting and pathetic.
SO true abt the parallel. That time, Damon was called the most selfless lover ever, giving up Elena and making her forget, emerging as the tragic, wounded soul. EVEN though Elena didn't even feel anything. But now, after everything they've gone through, when Stefan decides to let her go, he's still called selfish. DUH.

Oh yeah, as if we care about what ppl think abt Stefan. 🤣 I can digest everything, but not the theory abt Stefan "leaving" Elena cause he was selfish, and Damon being the one who stood by her. HAHA. He didn't leave BY CHOICE. It's just so ABSURD. Everyone's seen WHY he left! He HAD to go, for his brother. If not caring while his brother died, just so he could have Elena to himself would've made him "worthy" of Elena maiyya's love, then I prefer that Elena go and find someone who truly deserves her..Somebody who'd shut out everyone else from his life, except her. But well... Whatever Stefan does, he will always be "selfish".

People can glorify other characters as much as they want, I don't care, but it pisses me off when Stefan is uselessly put down and hated to make others look better. There was no character like him, and there never will be.
