Elene Gilbert has finally taken over every sense of selfishness in Damon Salvatore. Her safety is what matters the most, even knowing that his own life is in danger.

Killing Klaus, co operating with Katherine, managing mystic falls - it all ends with the smile of Elena, and finally in return, elena misses him in pain,

"where were you damon?"
"i shouldn't have left, i promise never to leave you again"

For me DELENA has started now.
The one you remember in happiness is the one you love and the one you remember in pain is the one who loves you.

and it goes vice versa for Damon & Elena,.

I loved the hospital scene...It just proved yet again that you don't need big dialogues to touch hearts...
I felt really bad for Elena when she asked Damon where was he the entire time during the last scene...this girl really has been throgh alot of shit in past 2 years...she deserves to smile...lovin delena to bits❤️

Wonderful post Kinza. Delena were so beautiful yesterday! :) That's why they are twin flames. They need each other. It's not about Damon needing Elena or Elena needing Damon, it's about them needing each other. And that's the beauty of Delena. <3😳

I absolutely loved how he carried her out of the hospital...

offered to take away those painful memories... his first priority is Elena's happiness. Although he loves her, he doesn't forget what she wants... Stefan of course 😕 . In the last episode he reminded her that the necklace was a symbol for her undying love for Stefan... and he still got it back for her. Damon deserves so much more than he gets.
The true Triangle is shaping up now... with Elena realizing she needs Damon. Hopefully they'll elaborate on those feelings in the future. I guess this is where DELENA starts... or at least I hope so. ❤️

I completely agree. <3 Delena are so perfect. The scenes they shared in the most recent episode were extremely touching. What really touched me was when Elena asked him where he was while crying. =[ That really broke my heart. And the way he was so gentle with her. It was so cute.

No doubt elena deserves happiness and damon will make sure she gets it!! ❤️

Damon has alwasy kept elena's needs in consideration, even stefan, he has never forced her ..

Without doubtm her plead, "where were u damon", it summed it up, it summed her hope that he would ahve not lat all that happen, never!!. ❤️

Exactly... that's what I love about Damon. People have to read between the lines to get that. He has had numerous opportunities to compel Elena.. to acquaint her with Stefan's dark past... but he hasn't unless called for.
And even if he's ever impulsively forced himself on to her... he's done it with reason... under the most grave circumstances. 😊
