I loved the friendships in the books [though D knows that I had my problems with how Bonnie was treated by her friends] - I loved that in the books, they trusted Stefan and there was this friendship between them all which I want translated into the show. Especially the M/S friendship [Matt that is] and the S/B friendship.

I know, I always felt as if they babied her too much... Didn't have enough faith in her and her abilities...

Matt & Stefan's friendship in the books is really great... One of the best things about the books 😆...
