ok i recently finished reading the Vampire Diaries. It's supposed to be about a girl torn between two brothers and somehow i never got that feeling. I always felt Elena loves Stefan, and what she has for Damon is sympathy. She feels bad hes been through so much and wants to relieve him of his suffering, with the occassional blood swapping that always comes to an end with 'Stefan is my love'. Kind of irritating to say the least.

The author has also hinted that Damon could either be with Bonnie or with Elena, but Elena seems to be adamant that Stefan is THE ONE for her, i don't think she;d consider Damon with Stefan around. I was hoping that perhaps at the end when she finally gets to be with Stefan she would be a bit confused about her love, but she was pretty sure.

And i don't know how Damon and Bonnie are possible because Damon wants to protect Bonnie because shes Elenas friend and it would hurt ELena if anything happened to her. And hes also a bit soft towards Bonnie and not Meredith and Matt because he finds Meredith to be intimidating and Matt doesnt like vamps and is sort of an a$$ towards Damon.

Oh yeah, and i really liked Sage, probably my second fav character after Damon. Oh, Damon is a human now lol...so im guessing Bonnie and Damon will the next couple. It's not really a coupling im looking forward to, i'd rather have Damon be with Elena or not be with anyone, atleast that doesnt put an end to my imagination lol. Bonnie can be with Matt.

Ok, im willing to forget the books if Damon and Elena can be together in the show. Oh and the show Elena is kind of annoying. I felt awful for Damon when he finally tells her how he was turned, and she seems to completely ignore Damons hurt and immediately thinks of Stefan. Granted Stefan was out on mission 'i want to die', but she couldve atleast offered Damon an apology for being so rude and 'snarky' with him all the time and also for always blaming him for everything wrong with Stefan. And i also wanna see her lay some blame on Stefan as well for being the reason Damon is the way he is.

also, did anyone else think that after Elena and stefan come back to the house after Elena rescuses stefan from dying that damon tells Stefan 'i hate you not because you turned me, but because katherine also chose you' was a way of lesseing Stefans guilt of turning damon?? I thought it was, because Damon doesnt want his brother to live in guilt, he does care for him at the end of the day. And another reason i think this is because when Elena finds out that Damon is the evil vamp and he comes to her house and says the Vicky will thank him for turning her and ELena says "did you think Katherine?" and his facial expressions immediately change, he looks hurt and ofcourse, doesnt respond and proceeds to tell her i doubt you got the whole story.

There was, to Damon, a palpable if not audible crake as the stone encasing his soul burst open and a great piece fell away.

With something inside him singing, he clutched Bonnie to him, feeling the wet towel through his raw silk shirt, and feeling Bonnie's slight body under the towel. Definitely a maiden, not a child, he thought dizzily, whatever the writing on that infamous scrap of pink nylon had claimed. He clutched at her as if he needed her for blood'as if they were in hurricane-tossed seas and to let go of her would be to lose her.

His neck hurt fiercely, but more cracks were spreading all over the stone; it was going to explode completely, letting the Damon it held inside out'and he was too drunk on pride and joy, yes, joy, to care. Crakes were spreading in every direction, pieces of stone flying off...

Yepp looks like Damon only cares for Bonnie because he loves Elena. I mean I get not shipping them because everyone will have different taste otherwise what fun would it be if all couples in shows were set in stone. But I never understood how someone can read the part from the book and say what he feels for her is only because of Elena.

Jot- I totally agree show!stelena weren't given the proper time. And you know I'm such a bamonista, but I did like the buildup they made for Delena. The part were the writers frustrated me with them though was when they made Isobel say he loves her. He truly cares for her now, but I would not say love her, yet. Maybe if they had waited for season 2 I would have seriously believed there so. The buildup was perfect executed till that moment for me in DE. As for SE, quiet disappointed at their buildup. But I do see more depth for them in the show, season 1 for them is deff more progressive and book one, IMO. Besides the obvious DB points, I totally agree with everything else with you both (:

I still think that Damon and Elena share the exact relationship that you think Damon-Bonnie share. Damon seems a bit confused about how he feels about Bonnie.

How about this? I'll accept that Damon and Bonnie share SOMETHING if they end up together in Midnight....😆

Lol, no, we don't have to. But you know how I love to jump in on talking about DB any chance I get. Bahaha! For me, there is deff SE/DE and with DB I see POTENTIAL. The feelings are there, but it's not love, yet. I'm not sure how Midnight will end. But I know DB will been glorified here. Bonnie is suspected to die, because you know she says she dies young and beautiful. & oh boy, I think that day will be my fave. I'm not buying that book unless I'm sure DB is explored, LMAO. Doesn't mean I won't read, just that the chances of me buying it varies (:
