These views may very well go against the majority, especially the ummm...KD & Kiya parts ☺️. I would still really love it if people with views contradicting mine would express them here 😳 And now without further ado...
Kiya - I am going to start with Kiya...who has had more individual growth in these last three episodes than the entire Season 2 put together. According to me, it is Kiya on whom the effects of Harsh's entry is the most, & in a way which greatly benefits her character. And I am really really grateful to the CVs because its just a personal opinion, that except maybe Piddi, Kiya has been the least explored character in terms of individuality & I am glad that is changing through this track.
There was a very specific aspect to Kiya's characterisation, with which she had been introduced. It was a drive, a desperation to have her own identity. And identity does not come from fame, which is why, sadly, she may have made a separate name for herself as a teenage pop singer, but she still hadn't made her identity as Kiya. And sadly, as time went on, she seemed to be content without it. She had no problems being 'one of the Buddies' & later 'KD's girlfriend'. Who was Kiya Gujral? She was a teenage popstar. Who was Kiya? She was one & both of the above mentioned in single quotes. Kiya has never taken decisions, it's always someone who has shown her what way to go & she has followed it. They weren't her own choices. Something which saddened me greatly as a fan of Kiya.
But now...finally I see leaps & bounds in Kiya's character. Starting with her decision to befriend Harsh. I personally, see nothing wrong with her actions. Starting with her frustrations. There is a difference between KD showing concern for Kiya, & KD blantantly ignoring her words, like she was talking through her hat. An action which may not have been directly supported, but definitely silently had been agreed to by the Buddies. It was so clearly visible to the audience, as well as Kiya. She's an adult, if she wants to befriend Harsh, she has full freedom to do so, & to take responsibility for herself. Jaitley Sir has set them a responsibility. Why can she not be the one to take upon the challenge, rather than being a being a damsel in distress needing KD? Harsh is someone handed to them by none other than JJ. If someone of his experience & understanding of people praised Kiya on her initiative, then that was clearly the right move anyways.
As for the basketball match, my chatti puffed out God knows how many inches 😆. "Kiya Gujral hai naam mera, koi trophy nahin hun main" - now THAT's my diva! For once, she did not let KD or Ranveer or...um, Piddi 😆 step in, she took her stand by herself, which is a clear sign of her gradually increasing new found confidence in being able totake care of herself :'). And I am going to take a minute out here to fangirl at the heated look look between Harsh & Kiya on the court. Hayye...he is so impressed ☺️ Aag thi ekdum!
So yeah...I am an extremely proud Diva fan. And I truly hope she sees this through & doesn't back down until she's done what's JJ asked her to. Its time for her to prove that she's neither a "bewakoof" nor so useless that she cannot take her own decisions & take up responsibility.
KD - While with Kiya, Harsh's presence is helping her find her lost individuality, with KD, its bringing out his biggest flaws to the forefront. Simply as per JJ - anger & ego. And as a KD fan...I am so effing happy!!!!!! Because well, these are aspects of his characted which have clearly come out more than oncw, & never really have been completely handled & addressed.
Since the time Harsh has come, its like someone turned on a switch & his biggest flaws are all tumbling out 😆. Starting with overpossessiveness. Yes he is overpossessive 😳. I would in a way, also blame Kiya's characterisation as someone who can't seem to handle herself, but only to SOME extent. Baaki its all KD himself. Starting with the canteen scene, with completely & rudely ignoring Kiya's suggestion like the walls were speaking. He was concerned yes, but he went beyond it & tried to control her decision. THAT was what got on her nerves. When he heard Harsh talking about tango on the phone, that was concern. I am totally okay with everything Kiya did, except the akdu boyfriend comment. Saying that about KD in front of that stranger was pulling it too far 😳. But anyways, coming back to KD, I am okay with him being angry at RV. After all, it was late at night, they don't know Harsh kaisa tha, so yeah concern toh will be there. Though when he got to the point where he said, "Woh toh bewakoof hai, but tu toh samajhdaar hai na" I was taken aback at how little KD believes of Kiya's sensibilities. He trusted Ranveer to take the right decision, but Kiya had to take the wrong one 😳. This in particular, has made me wish more than ever, that Kiya finally proves herself, to him, & to the Buddies.
JJ said - "His anger will kill him". AND THAT IS WHY I LOVE THIS MAN! What he said was bang on! When KD gets angry, it starts to control him & its like all his actions are driven by anger & ego, rather than this mind. Which could be dangerous, no fatal for him. This is the second time he has become defensive against Ranveer, because of his anger. Again I would like to mention...he is letting his anger control him. On the court, as much as I love Harsh, KD toh chodo, I myself wanted to go & bajaofy him left, right, centre for some of his comments 😆. KD obviously is going to get angry at him passing such blatant comments on Kiya. The problem though, lies in 'baat hathon pe ana' 😳. Tommorow, if he goes to office, someone taunts him, & he decides to turn to his fists, its going to be a serious problem for him 😳. JJ clearly brought in Harsh for the Buddies, which makes it obvious that he is deliberately pitting him against KD. Harsh is just one, spoilt brat, there are going to be a hell lot of more people who won't know their limits, & KD needs to learn to handle them without letting his anger overpower him, thinking calmly & using his wits rather than his fists to tackle such people. For that I say...JJ & CVs...THANK YOU! Seriously, addressing these issues of KD in a concrete manner has been long overdue, & I am glad that it is finally been focused upon. So yeah...as a fan of Hero, I am super excited! <3
Ranveer - Was I the only one who saw Harsh's effects on Ranveer, though subtler than in the case of KiSha, but still very much present 😲 To begin with, every interaction of Harsh & Ranveer reminds me of Satan coaxing Adam & Eve to steal the Apple of Knowledge 😆. Because thats what Harah does every single time. And there has to be a reason that all of Harsh's dialogues to Ranveer, offer him...the life that old Ranveer left. Carefree & without giving a damn about anyone. Lets take a look at Ranveer these past few episodes. Starting from the date. Yeah, JJ & us have all established already that it was selfish & careless of Ranveer to leave Kiya alone. He had, after all, taken her responsibility, & if not having succeeding in getting them both away, should have stayed with her. But what does it say about him? He is in a stage of his life with Panchi, where all sorts of emotions, sreong ones, are bubbling inside him. And that made him lose the carefully developed with time, self control & slip for a little while into the old Ranveer, the one who would have put his date with his girlfriend as first priority, responsibilities be damned. Which shows that subconsciously perhaps, a part of him is still struggling to keep him from slipping back to his older, much easier life. And maybe, just maybe, Harsh's don't care attitude, so similar to his former self is influencing him unknowingly.
And there's the fact that if you see the last two episodes, he seems to be getting extremely frustrated & annoyed at everything, starting from PanSh jhadofying him, to KD scolding him, to this whole darn push & pull between HarShav into which he has been unwittingly pulled. He is sick of trying to explain his actions, being the guy who compromises. His scene with Harsh in the canteen looked extremely significant to me. All those dialogues about being taken as granted by friends & the whole Chanakya saga, Ranveer may have brushed them off at the end, but when Harsh was talking, he had a contemplative look on his face. Like he was truly considering everything that he was saying. Who knows, maybe this frustration combined with Harsh's influencing will make him reckless & do something very like the old Ranveer. To that I'd say...HELL YEAH 😎
Buddies - This track has truly shown how much their ability to think individually has been diluted. Harsh attacks one of them, & everything is thrown into chaos, from KiSha, to RaHi, to RanSh, to PraSha, maybe even KiyAn. None of them was strong enough to act on their own & hold the Buddies together. I will repeat what I already said numerous times...Buddies have started to think & act like one entity, ALL of them. And since it has become their comfort zone, none of them attempted to break away from this constant orbiting, until Harsh. Which is why I said at the beginning - Harsh is everything the Buddies need & more. Panchi & Piddi are still left, but the effects have already started to show on KiShaRa. And technically speaking, Piddi being pissed off with KD for not taking him in his team, may well be a sign of him perhaps breaking free of his follower mentality. As for Panchi...I don't see anything on her as of now. But I am more confused as to what exactly of hers can be addressed. Sugfestions? 😳.
Anyways...long story short, as long as Buddies don't find their own selves & emerge as strong individuals, Buddies cannot stand strong as a whole. They will continue to tumble everytime an election or a Harsh enters their life.
A little bit about Harsh 😳
Harshvardhan Sisodia is yet another fine example of flawless writing & perfect execution of a character by the TBP team. Brilliant is all I have to say. His character has so much FORCE, which is why just his entry into the lives of Buddies have thrown them into chaos, & has started to influence them so much. He is grey & he has layers . He is also a reflection of almost everything that the Junglees were. The part of them the Buddies had worked so hard to get over. And god...his arrogance 😆. I absolutely love his interactions with Junglee...Jaitley 😉. Harsh bajaofies everyone's baand & JJ bajaofies Harsh 🤣. All I can say is...his entry has added numerous layers of all kind to TBP & I FREAKING LOVE IT!!!
JJ..thank you so much for coming back. TBP isn't TBP without Manav's smirks. Which make you go 'Uh Oh' everytime you see them. 😎
PS...I ain't so sure if there's a KISHA track in store so to speak. But KD & Kiya's long overdue individuality is being focused upon & that means the world to me.
PPS...if you read this without falling asleep anywhere...applause from my side 😳
