Ranveer disliked Kiya, but he hated KD more. Just to make KD angry, maybe he started his friendship with Kiya.

My opinion. I don't like YaRa so much, because maybe they are that kind of friend, ya know, 'the shoulder to cry on'. When they need eachother they become friends. . .

As for PanSh, they both were toppers and they both i'm sure must've talked about studies before 'the buddy project'.
