Trust karna acha hota hai, Naa karna Aur bhi acha

How old is KD ? 15 ? 16 ?

Is umar mein itni deep philosophical baatein ..

Makes one wonder about the things this guys been through to wise up so early.

Makes one respect him, yet lament the fact that he'd have had to give up a carefree childhood and teenage life SO early on.

Normally guys of this age are pretty immature ... but KD seems DEEP.

And when a girl like Kiya ... who is still untouched by the harsh realities of the world meets him as in meets him as a friend and interacts with him... I most definitely am curious as to what happens from then on.

I hope Kiya takes some of the edge off him and helps him losen up and lose some of the bitterness 😳

U are so correct about guys being so immature at this age. Maybe his difficult childhood has hardened him up.

I thought so ... 😊

Apparently, the characters are in 11th grade/standard - which would technically make their ages 16-17 years old. I agree with you. KD's character seems intense.

Reminds me of Amitabh Bachhan's character in the old movie Shakti (if you've ever seen it/heard it etc...) Amitabh's father (Dilip Kumar) too was a righteous police inspector in that movie. When Amitabh's character was 6-7 years old, he was kidnapped by goons. The ransom: exchange of a dangerous prisoner caught by Dilip Kumar in return for his son's life. Dilip Kumar refuses to negotiate with the goons and plays bluff - telling the goons to go ahead and kill their son, knowing that they wouldn't do so as he is their trump card and hatching a plot to rescue his son. Unfortunately kid Amitabh overhears the conversation and believes that his father has left him out to die for the sake of his principles. Believing in survival of the fittest, he successfully manages to trick the goons and escape. In the meantime Dilip Kumar raids the goons' hideout to rescue his son - but he has escaped safely back home to his mother. This incident changes kid Amitabh forever. And he grows up refusing to trust his father ever. He crosses over to the dark side, thereby distancing his father further. The entire movie is a tussle between father and son. Both are right in their own way - but can never see eye to eye.

IMHO, KD's silent anger reflects Amitabh's character from that movie.

I feel for this guy.Not even his own father trusts him, instead of helping him rise up,wants to pull him down.I hope Kiya brings out the teenager in him.

I so need to comment long on this topic! Will be back after watching the epi =P

Edit:

The events does strentghen a person. I'll take myself as an example 😛 I'm recently turned 16 and TONS of people have told me that I'm too mature and philosophical for my age. i take that as a good thing. So yes, it is possible that some hard things a person goes through in early childhood changes them. it kinda steals away their teenage fun. But nevertheless, it's good for the distant things. For better or for worse right? He could have ended up like Kunal *God forbid that* 😆

well he may be 15,16 but the circumstance he faced at this age made him what he is, his father never understood him.. looks like either he is motherless kid or his mother too is not much concerned about him... so summing up all.. KD stands different from others 😳
