Chapter 54
Shradha's sudden appearance and her shouting made no sense in the beginning but after hearing the words "bracelet" and "thief", it did not take long for Thapki to understand that Shradha was accusing some one for stealing her bracelet. But why was she pointing towards her? She needed to stop Shradha from making a scene in front of Vinod. Wat would he think abt her in laws? She was still analyzing the situation when she noticed Shradha furiously walking towards her. She was getting ready for her defense when Shradha passed her and stood in front of Vinod. She pulled him out of his chair and pushed him down. The poor guy looked horrified due to this sudden attack. Bihaan who was also trying to understand the current happenings, jumped from his place and stood right in front of Shradha.
Bihaan: "Wat r u doing Shardha? He is our guest"
Shardha (in an angry tone): "He is not a guest... he is a thief... Or shall I say he was invited to steal from this house"
Thapki looked at Vinod who was crying silently. She walked towards Shradha and stood next to Bihaan.
Thapki (ignoring Shradha's accusation): "Shradha there has to be some misunderstanding... Vinod is not a thief... Y u think he stole sthg from u?"
Shradha: "I know for a fact that he is a thief and I do not need to give u any clarification"
Thapki and Bihaan wanted to say sthg but Dadi's voice interrupted them both.
Dadi: "Shradha beta u r accusing some one who is a guest in this house of stealing sthg. U must tell us wat got stolen"
Shradha turned towards Dadi and started crying.
Shardha (while crying): "This guy stole the bracelet u gave me"
Dadi: "Oh so ur bracelet got stolen. But r u sure u lost it? Wat if u placed it some where n forgot abt it"
Shradha: "I am sure that I placed it on my dressing after showing it to Dhruv and then I went to take a bath. While coming out of my washroom, I saw this guy walking past my bed room door. And today in the morning when I looked for my bracelet on the dressing, where I put it, it was gone. Nobody has come and gone out of my room during the whole time"
Before further inquiry could be made, Mr. Gutam, the owner of their fav jewellery shop arrived on their door. He was here to meet Dadi.
Mr. Gautam: "I came here myself to personally apologise as it is the very first time that u have not only disliked our design but have also returned it. If u did not like it, u should have informed me and I would have replaced it. But I am extremely sorry that I disappointed you"
Dadi (surprisingly): "Which jewellery item u r talking abt?"
Mr. Gautam: "The one Beta Ji brought to our shop to return and took the money back. I told him to get it exchanged but he insisted on returning it. I gave him the money back but I have brought the old bracelet and a new bracelet for u. I want u to keep both and excuse us for the disappointment"
Before anything else could be said and heard, Vasu walked towards Bihaan and inquired.
Vasu: "Why did u do that Bihaan?"
Bihaan did not reply and just looked at Vasu with hurt and surprised eyes. He did not know how to defend himself as he had been accused of so many things in the past but an accusation like this... He felt like his heart was sinking. The silence in the room was making him go deaf. Before he could open his lips, he heard Mr. Gautam say sthg.
Mr. Gautam: "No no I am not talking abt Bihaan beta, I was talking abt Dhruv"
This time the silence was even more deafening than before.

Dadi and Vasu were sitting in Dadi's room. After having a long conversation regarding the incident of the morning, the two were now sitting very quietly. It was Dadi who broke the silence.
Dadi: "Poor Vinod... Wat would he think of us??? Bihaan dropped him at the station so that he can go back to his home. I wanted him to stay longer but he insisted on going back. I feel so bad"
Vasu: "I know. But we said sorry to him and even gave him gifts for his family. I hope he will forgive us"
Dadi: "I hope so. Also, u should not have accused Bihaan like this without knowing who Gautam Ji was referring to"
Vasu: "I know but things were going against him and you know who was his mother and..."
Dadi: "Not even once I believed that Bihaan could do such a thing. He is related to Kosi as she gave him birth but we have raised him and he can never hurt his family like this. U doubting him did not amaze me at all... Wat actually amazed me is y dhruv did all this?"
Vasu: "There must be a reason behind it as I know my Dhruv can never do such a thing"
Dadi gave her a sarcastic look which made Vasu feel a little guilty.
Vasu: "I do not know wat to tell Shradha. She is in a shock now. She can't believe Dhruv can take her stuff"
Dadi: "She seems stressed. U should try to calm her down as stress is not gud for her. But u also need to speak with Dhruv"
Vasu: "I tried to call him but he did not respond. Will talk to him upon his return"
The two again got quiet and got lost in their own thoughts.

Vasu was waiting in the dining for Dhruv. It was a quarter past 3 when he finally arrived. Before he could escape to his room, Vasu called his name. He looked at Vasu in a way as if he was trying to see who it was and after recognizing her, he walked towards her. Vasu noticed that his whole body was shaking. He was either ill or drunk.
Vasu: "R u sick?"
Dhruv who was under the influence of some drug he had injected in his, found an excuse for his condition and nodded his head. Vasu worriedly walked towards him and helped him in sitting in a chair next to where she was sitting earlier.
Vasu: "Where have u been in such a condition? Did u go to doctor?"
Dhruv: "My friends took me to one and he injected me here. Now I will get better"
He showed her the mark where he had been injected but not by the doctor. Seeing his condition, Vasu very softly inquired him abt the bracelet stealing and he started crying in response.
Dhruv: "Do u want to know y I did that??? Bau Ji is not letting me draw money from Company's Accounts without his approval. He told me that Bihaan is looking after the Accounts now and I need to take permission from him. U know how Bihaan is and how he does not miss any chance to degrade me so I took some loan from my friend and made an investment. But that investment did not turn out to be profitable and I lost all the money. I asked Bau Ji for the money but he refused. I had no other option as I had to arrange the money some how to return it to my friend"
He looked into Vasu's eyes and saw hatred for Bihaan and sympathy for himself. She had very easily believed his story.
Vasu: "U do not worry my son. I will handle this all. U give this bangle to Shradha and she will forgive u"
Vasu handed a beautiful gold bangle to Dhruv which brought a smile on his lips. His plan was working fine or that's wat he felt at that moment.

It had been few days since the bracelet incident had ocurred and things have started to become normal. Wat actually played the major role in making things normal was the fixation of Kiran's marriage date. Every one has become really excited as the marriage was to happen in next 2 weeks. The arrangements were getting planned and executed and everyone was contributing including Sheena and Kabir.
Everyone was gathered in the lounge and discussion regarding Menu and decoration was going on. Thapki and Sheena were sent by Dadi to bring the gifts that were to be wrapped where as Preeti and Suman were arranging the invitation cards. Bihaan was sitting with Bau Ji discussing financial affairs. Shradha and Kabir were sitting in one corner making lists of Various stuff.
Both Sheena and Thapki arrived, holding a lot of gifts in their arms. Sheena mistakenly stepped on a card and started to fall. In order to save herself from falling, she grabbed Thapki's hand making Thapki fall along with her. Every one gasped. Kabir who was sitting very close to them, ran towards them and helped Thapki to get up. He made her stand and showed concern towards her. It was Shradha who taunted and made him realise that Sheena was still on floor, waiting for him to help her too. Kabir sheepishly helped Sheena and looked around. He noticed Bihaan looking at him with thinking eyes.

Thapki was folding Bihaan's clothes when Sheena knocked on her bedroom door. Thapki invited her in. Sheena sat down on the bed and looked at Thapki with interest.
Sheena: "It feels so gud na to take care of ur loved ones"
Thapki: "Yes it does"
Sheena: "And it feels even better if some one u love also take cares of u"
This time Thapki looked at Sheena and did not say anything. Sheena was also not looking for a reply so she kept staring Thapki which made Thapki uncomfortable. After a while Sheena got up from her place and stood in front of Thapki.
Sheena: "Can we start over?"
Thapki: "Meaning?"
Sheena: "As we both know that we started on a very wrong note so I guess we should forget wat happened between us and start over. Wat u say?"
Thapki: "I do not hold any grudge against u. I do not think we need to start over or sthg"
Sheena: "I did hold grudges against u for long and it did not do me any gud. It ruined wat I and Bihaan had before ur marriage. I do not want this to happen again"
Thapki: "Happen again?"
Sheena: "Yes. Actually it is very obvious now that u and Kabir have become friends. And from where I see, u hold a special position in his heart so I want for us to become friends too"
Thapki: "I and Kabir have nthg..."
Sheena: "I do not need any clarification... I just want everything to be just fine... I hope u understand and accept my friendship"
Sheena ended her sentence by holding up her hand for a hand shake. In order to end the conversation, Thapki simply shook her hand which brought a big smile on Sheena's face and she said a small "thank you".
Bihaan who was standing outside the bedroom door had thinking lines on his forehead. Instead of entering the room, he turned back and left the house.

Sheena was sitting in a small restaurant with Kabir. They were both drinking coffee and discussing their new plan of action. Kiran's wedding date had been fixed and they had also announced their own wedding to take place a week after Kiran's marriage.
Sheena had a wild plan in her mind and Kabir was a lil resistant. After a long discussion, Sheena convinced Kabir and the two paid the bill and left the restaurant.

Bihaan was working on his laptop when Thapki entered the bedroom. She placed the tea cup on his bed side and sat next to him. She was looking pale. Bihaan noticed that and held her hand.
Bihaan: "U r looking pale. Is everything alright?"
Thapki: "I feel tired"
Bihaan: "U should take rest then"
Thapki: "No I can't. I have to go downstairs and help Suman Bhabhi with some chores"
Bihaan: "I feel worried for you. U must take care of ur health too"
Thapki: "Don't worry. The wedding will be over in 2 weeks and I will have ample time to rest then"
Thapki then left the room to finish the incomplete tasks. Whereas Bihaan attributed her quietness to Vinod's insult in PN. He promised himself to make up for that one way or other.

Bau Ji was busy in some work when Vasu came and sat next to him. Bau Ji noticed her presence so he took off his glasses and looked at her. He could sense that she wanted to say sthg but she seemed hesitant.
Bau Ji: "Is sthg bothering u?"
Vasu (after a pause): "I want u to transfer all the property in Dhruv's name"
