Chapter 41
Thapki was working fast to finish the work in kitchen. She could not wait to go meet Bihaan who was waiting for her in their room. Earlier when she reached home, her head was spinning from all the information Kabir and Peerti Bhabhi had poured on her. She wanted to know more but then Preeti realised that they should not be sharing this stuff with her without Bihaan's knowledge. She even begged Thapki not to mention this to any one at home as the house mates might get angry at her for bringing this topic up in front of Thapki. And when she reached home all engrossed in her thoughts, she saw Bihaan sitting in lounge with the family. She knew she missed him but seeing him in front of her like that actually made her realise how much she missed him. She could not show her emotions in front of the family so it was just a "hello and how r u" kinda dialog but from that moment to when Bihaan left for their room after dinner, she could feel his eyes on her many times.
She had almost finished the work and was about to leave when she saw Vasu entering the kitchen.
Vasu: "Have u finished the work?"
Thapki: "Yes I did"
Vasu: "Gud. U shd spend more time in doing house chores. Suman also needs some help. After all the family has become so big. In fact,it will grow even bigger in coming months"
Thapki nodded.
Vasu: "Before leaving for ur room just take a glass of warm milk to Shradha's room. She has not eaten anything properly the whole day. In fact, I will go there myself... u just quickly bring the glass of milk"
Vasu finished her sentence and left. Thapki opened the fridge and took out the milk.

Thapki knocked on Sharuv's bedroom door. She heard Vasu's voice so opened the door and walked in. She saw Shradha lying in bed and Vasu sitting next to her.
Vasu: "Y u took so much time. Shradha was feeling so low. Now hurry up and make Shradha sit"
Thapki quickly walked towards Sharadha's bed and placed the glass of milk on side table. She helped Shradha in sitting. She gave the glass to Shradha on Vasu's instructions but Shradha was not looking interested in having the milk. After a lot of persuasion from Vasu, she took few sips only. Thapki was told to take the glass back and before she could leave the room, Vasu told Thapki to prepare Shradha's breakfast in the morning.

Finally Thapki entered the room with a beating heart. She put the tea cup on the side table of the bed and looked around for Bihaan. He was not in the room. Before she could think anything, she saw Bihaan coming out of the washroom. He was dressed in a white kurta after taking fresh shower and was rubbing the towel on his hair. Thapki could not take her eyes off him. Bihaan noticed Thapki sitting on the bed and looking at him. A smile touched his lips.
Bihaan: "Finally u found time for me"
Thapki who was still looking at her husband's face, came out of her trance and walked towards Bihaan. She took the towel from his hand and made him sit on the bed. She started drying his hair with the towel and said nthg.
Bihaan turned his face towards Thapki and looked at her face.
Bihaan: "Wat happened? U won't even talk to me now?"
He held her by her arm and took the towel from her. He put the towel on bed and made her sit next to him.
Bihaan: "Are u angry at me?"
Thapki: "Yes I am"
Bihaan: "But why?"
Thapki: "U waited for me few hours and showed ur anger for making u wait and wat abt me who waited for u for weeks?"
Bihaan smiled once again and held her face in his hands.
Bihaan: "Do u think it was easy for me to be away from u? But I had to go as it was related to my work"
Thapki: "Then I was also doing my work and that is y could not come early"
Bihaan took both her hands in his and looked at her face. He saw the sadness in her eyes and on her face too.
Bihaan: "I know u r unhappy coz I left u alone when u were not completely well but trust me I am doing all of this for us, for our future, for our children"
Thapki blushed at the mention of their children. Preeti Bhabhi had given her some basic info on how babies are made so she knew for now that it takes more than a hug or kiss to be pregnant.
Thapki: "I know Bihaan and trust me I did not miss u coz I was unwell... in fact I am fine now and everyone took extra care of me... I just missed u...I missed u a lot"
After saying that Thapki hugged Bihaan. Bihaan hugged her back.
Bihaan: "I missed u too. Every minute... every second"
Thapki: "Liar"
Bihaan: "I knew u think I am a liar. That is y I did not tell u that I can not hand over u the gift I brought for u"
Thapki: "Gift??"
Bihaan: "Yes gift. I did some shopping for everyone and its in my luggage but my luggage got misplaced and I have been told that I will get my luggage in a day or two. Till then u will have to do with me only"
Thapki: "U r my biggest gift. And I am glad that u r back. I have so much to tell u"
Bihaan kissed Thapki's cheek and that turned her beet root red.
Bihaan: "U blush a lot. How will this work out?"
Thapki (blushing): "Wat?"
Bihaan: "U n me. Wat else"
And that was just the start of the blushing as the two had so much to tell to each other.

Thapki was preparing breakfast for Bihaan after sending Shradha her breakfast. Preeti entered the kitchen and looked at Thapki. Thapki had taken shower and her wet hair were lying loose on her back.
Preeti (whistling): "Wah u r so fast. U already had ur honey moon with Bihaan Devar Ji"
Thapki: "Honey moon?"
Preeti: "Ya u know the big step"
Thapki: "The big step?"
Preeti: "Oho I mean the step that will make u Mommy Thapki"
Thapki: "Wat r u saying Bhabhi. We did not do anything of that sort u told me last time"
Preeti: "R u telling me truth?"
Thapki: "Yes. He kissed me once on cheek and then we talked"
Preeti: "Meeting after this long and still just a kiss...Ur case sounds really complicated"
Suman entered the kitchen and heard Preeti's sentence.
Suman: "Y r u making her worried?"
Preeti: "I am not. I am just trying to fix her life"
Suman: "Her life is fixed. U r just polluting her mind with ur negative thoughts"
Preeti: "Okay lets c if I am right or if u r wrong"
Thapki had finished making Bihaan's breakfast so she left the kitchen with a confused look on her face.

Thapki walked into the room to check on Bihaan. He was still lying in bed. She walked towards him and looked at his face. His eyes were closed so she kept staring at him. After few seconds, Bihaan opened his one eye and looked at Thapki. Thapki who was not expecting Bihaan to be awake jumped with shock and nervousness.
Bihaan: "If u r done admiring me, can I get up and freshen up?"
Thapki: "Am I not allowed to admire my own husband's beautiful face? Any way, get up and ready. Or else ur breakfast will turn cold like ur tea last night"
Thapki turned and was about to walk away when Bihaan caught her arm and made her stop.
Bihaan: "And am I not allowed to spend some lone time with my wife?"
Thapki : "Yes u r but now be fast as Bau Ji is also calling u. He needs to discuss sthg important"
Bihaan let go of her arm.
Bihaan: "U always find some excuse to run away but once u r totally fit n fine, I will not spare u"
Bihaan finished his sentence with a wink and Thapki left the room in haste coz of his meaningful talk.

Thapki walked into Sharuv's room. Shradha was as usual lying in her bed and Vasu Maa was sitting next to her. She was holding a pretty gold set box. When Thapki entered the room, she saw Vasu handing that gold set to Shardha for giving her such a big news. Vasu looked at Thapki and scolded her for not making the breakfast as per Shardha's choice. She asked Shradha to tell Thapki abt her likes and dislikes. Shradha with a winning look at her face looked at Thapki and started telling her abt her choice for breakfast.

After having breakfast, Bihaan walked into Bau Ji's room. Bau Ji was sitting in a chair, reading newspaper.
Bau Ji: "Come Bihaan beta... I was waiting for u"
Bihaan: "Ji Bau Ji. U wanted to discuss sthg"
Bau Ji: "Yes Bihaan beta. All my sons are married now and settled in their lives. Dhruv is going to be a father soon and I am sure that u will give me the same gud news in coming months... Now all I am worried abt is Kiran"
Bihaan who had started blushing on mention of gud news got serious at mention of Kiran.
Bihaan: "Worried? Y worried Bau Ji?"
Bau Ji: "I am talking abt her marriage"
Bihaan: "Oh. Do u have a proposal in mind?"
Bau Ji: "God has been so kind. Mr. Singhania with his family wants to come here next week to ask for Kiran's hand for his son Vicky"
Bihaan (happily): "Wow this is such a gud news. U were already interested in him"
Bah Ji: "Yes I am glad coz he is not only my friend but is also very nice. His son Vicky for sure will keep Kiran happy"
Bihaan: "I have complete faith in ur choice"
Bau Ji: "I want u to do all the preparations as they might do the engagement too before leaving. We have very short time for all the preparations"
Bihaan: "Don't worry Bau Ji. I am here now and I will handle everything"
The two started discussing the preparation details.

Thapki was taking orange juice to Shradha's room when she heard her talking to some one on phone.
Shradha: "R u crazy? Y wd I abort this child now. This child is bringing me so much money and special attention. And in addition to gold and money, Thapki is taking care of me as a maid. And its just the beginning as now I have found the perfect tool to make her life hell"
Sharadha's evil laugh made Thapki sad so she left.

Vasu was giving instructions to the servants. Thapki listened and realised that the instructions were regarding Dhruv's bday celebrations. This reminded her of the info she got abt Bihaan. She saw Suman walking out of kitchen door and sitting on dining table. She had brought vegetables with her to cut. Thapki offered her help and started peeling potatoes.
Thapki: "Wat r these preparations abt?"
Suman: "Well Dhruv Devar Ji's bday is coming. We always celebrate his bday on a large scale"
Thapki: "Oh I see. So when is Bihaan's bday?"
Suman: "We will cut his bday cake just after one week of Dhruv Devar ji's bday"
Thapki: "Oh but how is that possible?"
Suman: "Wat do u mean?"
Thapki: "Two brothers with one week age difference?"
Suman: "U already know how. Preeti told me how she told everything to u"
Thapki: "But Bhabhi she did not tell me everything. I mean why his mom killed his dad?"
Suman: "Shhh Thapki. U will put me in trouble. I don't know more and u shd also not talk abt it. No one in this house does"
Thapki knew that Suman Bhabhi will not tell her anything. She knew whom she needed to talk abt it. Her only hope now was none other than "Kabir"
