Chapter 36Thapki came back and sat down on her side of bed. She held her hands tight and tears started to flow down her cheeks. Why was her life so difficult? Y could she not live a simple life? "Oh Maa where r u? I need u... Plz guide me" was the prayer on her lips. She heard a knock on the door. She looked up and found Sheena standing at the door. Thapki quickly wiped off her tears. Sheena walked in and sat next to Thapki.
Sheena: "Hey Thapki! How r u feeling now?"
Thapki: "I am ok"
Sheena: "I am so glad that ur operation went well. I was so worried for u"
Thapki did not reply but looked into her eyes. Sheena took her hand to her hair and tucked her hair behind her ear. This action brought the ring in Thapki's notice.
Thapki: "Sheena, from where did u get this ring?"
Sheena: "Which ring?"
Thapki took her hand in hers and touched her ring.
Thapki: "This one"
Sheena: "Oh this ring... This is my engagement ring. And my fiance gave this to me"
Thapki: "Fiance? who?"
Sheena: "Oh Thapki. I wanted to tell u abt my engagement but then I came to know abt ur condition so I decided to wait. But now when u have noticed this so I will tell u. I have got engaged. I have known him since long. Well actually he is in this house and I have come to meet him"
Thapki could not take this any more. She quickly jumped up from her place and angrily held Sheena's arm and started to drag her.
Thapki: "Get out... Just get out of this house"
Sheena: "Leave me Thapki... Wat r u doing? Have u gone crazy?"
Sheena finally freed her hand from Thapki's grip.
Sheena: "Wat is wrong with u Thapki? Have u totally lost it"
Thapki: "Yes I have gone crazy... Who would not... Y r u doing this? Y r u coming between me and Bihaan?"
Sheena: "I am not coming in between any one... Wat r u even talking abt?"
Thapki: "Oh yes u r... Since day one u have been trying to ruin our relationship... Y r u after me? Oh no Y r u after Bihaan?"
Sheena: "Wat r u saying Thapki? Y wd I be after him?"
Thapki walked towards her and held her hand and shoved it to her face.
Thapki: "Wat is this then?? Y r u wearing this ring?"
Sheena (shocked): "I just told u that this is my engagement..."
Thapki: "Oh shut up... I won't listen to ur non sense any more. Now just get lost from here and do not come back"
Thapki looked at Sheena's face. Tears were flowing down her eyes. She looked at Thapki with disbelief and ran out of Thahaan's room. Thapki who was not supposed to move this much, felt some pain in her bandaged area so she slowly walked towards the bed. Thapki knew that this girl means no gud to her and her presence in her life was nthg but a curse.

Thapki was sitting on the bed. She had her face in her hands. Sheena had left the room a few seconds ago. Bihaan entered the room.
Bihaan: "Wat happened Thapki? R u alright? I heard loud noises"
Thapki (crying): "Y Bihaan y? Y u bought that ring?"
Bihaan: "Which ring u r talking abt and y r u crying?"
Thapki: "The ring in Sheena's finger... Y u bought that ring?"
Bihaan: "Oh that ring... Well I was asked to do so but y r u crying?"
Thapki: "U got engaged with Sheena?"
Bihaan got up from his place in shock.
Bihaan: "Have u gone crazy? Y would I get engaged to Sheena? Oh so u saw that ring in Sheena's finger and thought i gave it to her?"
Thapki kept looking at Bihaan with no reply.
Bihaan: "I did not give that ring to Sheena"
Thapki (shocked): "Then who did?"
Instead of Bihaan, a handsome guy appeared in Thahaan's bedroom's door and replied.
Handsome guy: "I did"

Shradha and Kiran had finally reached office. They had returned home from Delhi but Shradha told Kiran that they have to reach office for an urgent meeting. Kiran who was tired coz of long travel, did not want to go but agreed when Shradha insisted.
Kiran: "Bhabhi is this meeting that important? We could have done it some other time"
Shradha: "Kiran, we r in business and we can not change things according to our moods"
Kiran: "I understand Bhabhi but I feel so tired"
Shradha: "We will be free in an hour and then we will go home and rest"
The two entered their office and started preparation for the meeting with their client.

Bau ji entered his room. Vasu was sitting in a sofa watching her favorite Saas bahu serial.
Bau Ji: "Vasundra Ji, I wanted to thank u for finally thinking abt Thapki. I really..."
Vasu: "Oh plz dear... I am not a monster... Thapki is living in my house and no matter how much I dislike her, I will not want her to suffer physical pain"
Bau Ji: "I know u r not stone hearted... It is just u r too stubborn to c that Thapki..."
Vasu (interrupting): "Plz now stop telling me how nice and innocent she is. I am watching my fav serial and do not want to be interrupted"
Bau Ji just picked up the news paper lying on the table and started going through the daily news. But at intervals he would watch the tv screen and Vasu and wonder wat kinda stupid families r shown in such serials. Less he knew that tv serials r based on the stories from real lives.

Shradha and Kiran came out of the conference room and walked towards Shradha's office. Shradha got a call on her phone so she stayed back and asked Kiran to wait for her in the office. Kiran nodded and entered Shradha's office. She saw John sitting in one of the sofas in one corner.
John: "Wat a pleasant surprise"
Kiran: "Oh Hi! U must be waiting for Shradha Bhabhi... She was coming here but got a call. She will be here any moment"
Before John could say anything, Shradha entered the office.
Shradha: "Oh thank God John u r here.. I got a call from Dhruv and we made plans. Will u plz drop Kiran home? I hope it wont be a trouble for u?"
John: "Oh sure y not"
Kiran: "No no bhabhi I will go home by myself..."
Shradha: "Oho don't be so formal.. John is such a nice company.. Oh I guess Dhruv is already here.. I need to go bye"
Shradha did not wait for an answer and left immediately. Kiran had no option but to obey wat Shradha had just told them.

Thapki was sitting in the bed thinking abt the current incident. The handsome guy introduced himself as Kabir and he was apparently Bihaan and Dhruv's class fellow. During college days, he went to USA and settled there. He met Sheena abroad and decided to marry her. He wanted the proposal thing to be a surprise so he asked Bihaan to arrange everything. The ring and note was also the part of the surprise. Among all this proposal drama, Thapki got the biggest surprise and that too a very unpleasant one.
Thapki did not know how to handle it all. It was Bihaan who entered with a warm cup of milk and her tablets that brought her back into the reality.
Bihaan: "Take this medicine and drink warm milk"
He put the glass on the table and came towards his side of bed and lay down in the bed. Thapki looked at him and instantly realised that he was in a bad mood.
Thapki: "Will u not talk to me abt tonight's incident?"
Bihaan (with a sigh): "Wat is left there to even talk abt"
Thapki: "I know I made a mistake. I should have not assumed it and should have talked to u first... I had even decided to do so but then Sheena came and I swear she did it on purpose..."
Bihaan: "Wat did she do on purpose?"
Thapki: "This ring show off drama"
Bihaan: "Oh for God's sake Thapki... Stop imagining things"
Thapki: "Bihaan trust me.. She is..."
Bihaan: "Enough is enough Thapki... U have humiliated me in front of two of my friends tonight...Kabir acted normal so he may not have heard everything but I don't know how I will face Sheena"
Bihaan noticed tears appearing in Thapki's eyes.
Thapki: "If u want then I can say sorry to Sheena"
Thapki was already sick and he did not want her to worry any more.
Bihaan: "No plz don't do anything. U just take rest and get well soon... I will handle it myself. Now u just finish milk and go to sleep. Doctor has advised u rest"
Thapki took the medicines and drank milk. Both lay down in the bed with different thoughts running in their minds.

Next morning when Thapki woke up, Bihaan was not in the room. She thought that he might have left for office. She was thinking abt getting up and going to washroom when she saw Bihaan entering the room.
Thapki: "Arre u have not left for the office yet?"
Bihaan: "I am not going to office today... I have to take u for the checkup with doctor and also I will be home until u get better"
Thapki: "Doctor said it will take 4-6 weeks for me to get better. It's a long time"
Bihaan: "Yes but that is the full recovery time. But u will be able to freely move and do chores way long before then that"
Bihaan finished his sentence and helped Thapki in getting up and wearing the slippers.
BIhaan: "Freshen up fast as Suman Bhabhi is bringing breakfast"
Bihaan left Thapki near bathroom and waited for her to get free. Bihaan was acting completely normal. Thapki who was expecting an angry Bihaan felt relieved. When Thapki came out, Bihaan had taken a loose Shalwar suit for her to change into.
Bihaan: "Let's change ur clothes. U have been wearing these since many days now"
Thapki: "Ok I will do it"
She started to pick her clothes but Bihaan stopped her.
Bihaan: "Where r u going?"
Thapki: "To the washroom to change"
Bihaan: "No u r changing into these here only"
Thapki: "Here???"
Bihaan: "Yes. Now hurry up"
Bihaan picked up the shirt and looked at Thapki.
Thapki: "Y r u looking at me?? Turn ur face away"
Bihaan: "Y?"
Thapki: "Coz I have to take my shirt off?"
Bihaan: "Then?"
Thapki: "I can't change my clothes in front of u"
Bihaan: "But I am ur husband. U shd not be ashamed of me"
Thapki: "Plz Bihaan"
Bihaan put the shirt on bed and turned his face away with a smile.
Bihaan: "U can't change ur clothes in front of me but u want to get pregnant as soon as possible"
Thapki: "Ya so... These r two different things"
Bihaan: "Oh ya.. Very soon u will find out how different those r"
Before Bihaan could finish his sentence, Suman Bhabhi knocked at the door. Thapki quickly changed the shirt but while changing her shalwar, she felt pain in stitches area which made her skip a small cry from her lips. Bihaan instantly turned back and held her shoulders.
Bihaan: "Thapki r u ok?"
Thapki: "Oh yes.. Just felt a lil pain here"
She pointed at the bandaged area.
Bihaan: "C u need my help but u don't let me. Next time I will not listen to u"
Bihaan walked her to the bed but before making her sit on the bed, he slowly zipped her dress.
Bihaan: "Get used of me claiming my right on u"
Bihaan made her sit on the bed and walked towards the door but before opening it, he turned back and did not miss her pink cheeks.

Bihaan was walking towards the lounge when he heard Bau ji's angry voice. Instead of going into the lounge, he walked towards Bau Ji's room. He was abt to enter the room when he heard Sanjay's voice.
Sanjay: "I am telling u the truth Bau Ji... Some one is changing the accounts to cover up the cash they have with drawn from company's accounts"
