Thanks for this quick update - even though my reaction is delayed because of my getting late to see Forum post again.

But, this is a great way to end each epi/update in this kind of suspense. Keep it up and revert soonest... ... we're all cliff hanging 😆

Chapter 3Suman could hear Vasu's angry voice. She rushed to the scene. She shockingly looked at wat was happening in front of her. Vasu and Thapki were in front of Mandir. Vasu was angrily looking at Thapki. Pooja thali was on ground. Thapki was teary eyed. Thapki was picking stuff from ground.


Vasu: "Do not try to call me Maa again. I am no one to you. U must have entered this house but it does not mean that you belong here. Soon I will send you back to where you came from. Till then try to stay in your own limits"

Before Suman or Thapki could say anything, Vasu left. Suman hurriedly went towards Thapki. She helped Thapki and put Thali on table. She brought Thapki to the kitchen with her and gave her a glass of water.

Thapki: "Why does Vasu Aunty hate me this much. Wat bad have I done to her?"

Suman: "Maa is just like this. If she develops dislike towards sthg, she never likes it"

Thapki: But y this much hatred towards me? I have never even met her but once when I was just few years old and Bau Ji and Vasu Maa have come to our place to..."

Before Thapki could finish her sentence, Suman's daughter walked into the kitchen. She was 3 years and 11 months old cute lil girl and her name was Pari.

Suman walked towards her to pick her up. Thapki interestingly looked at her. She instantly fell in love with this cute lil girl.

Suman: "See Pari beta this is ur Chachi. Thapki Chachi. And Thapki this is my daughter"

Thapki took the girl from her and kissed her cheeks. The girl also seemed very comfortable with Thapki.

Thapki: "Suman Bhabhi this makes me realise that I do not know anything bt the people in this house. How many of u live here and who is married and who have kids?"

Suman: "I know but do not worry u will come to know abt them all soon. Most of them are out of station so that is y u do not see any one at home. I could tell u all abt them now but I want that u get introduced to them once they come back which is soon so till then u just sit outside and let me finish my work"

Thapki: "Oh let me help u out na. Btw wat r u making?"

Suman: "I am making lunch and dinner. In lunch only 4 of us will be here. So I am making daal chawal. Bihaan devar ji comes home at night so I am making his fav Bhindi ki sabji for dinner. U know Bihaan devar ji works with this IT company and he leaves for office in the morning and comes late at night and only eats his dinner with us"

Thapki: "Can I make food for Bihaan?"

Suman (teasingly): "ufff U want to reach ur husband's heart via his stomach and that too at ur first day at Sasural"

Thapki (blushing): "Actually my Maa always said that it is the duty of every wife to take care of her husband and only this way the love between a couple increases"

Suman: "U can start working on that after few days. Right now u r a new bride. Also Bihaan Devar Ji needs some one to take care of him as he is the most neglected person in this house"

Suman said that in the flow but later realised that she said sthg she should not have said.

Thapki: "Y is that so Bhabhi?"

Suman (covering up): "Coz he was a bachelor na and he had no one to take care of him so thats y. Ok now u go outside and take Pari with u. Bau ji must be looking for you. Let me finish the work in kitchen and then we will chat more"

Thapki came out of the kitchen. Pari was still in her arms. Pari was a quiet n shy girl but seemed to have fallen in love with Thapki. Thapki found Bau Ji sitting in the garden on a chair reading newspaper. She came out and walked towards him. Bau Ji saw her coming so he put the newspaper on the table and welcomed Thapki. Seeing Bau Ji, Pari went to Bau JI and kissed his cheeks.

Bau Ji: "Aww My Jan my Pari and my Bahu Thapki both r here. Come Thapki sit here"

Thapki took a seat next to Bau Ji.

Bau Ji: "Thapki beta how r u?"

Thapki: "I am fine Bau Ji"

Bau Ji: "I am so sorry abt ur mother's sudden death. She was fighting Cancer for a long time now. I did not know that she was that sick or else I would have visited myself"

Thapki (teary eyed): "Maa used to remember u so much. She used to tell me not to worry as she knew you will be there to take care of me after her death. And see she was so right"

Bau Ji: "U need not to worry abt anything. As far as I am alive and now when Bihaan is with u, no harm will ever reach u"

He put his hand on Thapki's head and she felt so much better. They saw Suman Bhabhi coming with a tray full of food. She put the tray in front of Thapki and asked her to eat as she has not eaten any thing since her arrival at PN.

Vasu was standing in front of the window of her room.She saw the scene outside her window and got angry. Bau Ji, Thapki and Suman were eating and chatting. This new girl has won the hearts of these two and even the young Pari. She promised herself that she will not let her win Bihaan's heart ever. She never wanted this girl as a daughter in law of this house but she failed to stop that she will not fail again.

Bihaan was sitting in his office cabin. He was trying to concentrate on his work but his mind was else where. He was thinking abt the happenings of last few days. Everything was going so well. His life was fine. He was busy with his personal as well as his professional life. Maa was so happy with him. He was her obedient son who would do anything for her and this is y she gave him this responsibility.

Due to some official work , he was sent to Pune for few days. When he told Maa abt this, she asked him to do her this small favour. He had to deliver this letter to Mrs. Chaturvedi who was living in a small village near Pune. Maa asked him not to tell any thing abt this letter to any one at home. She convinced him that this was the only way to solve this problem. He was not fully convinced but he could not say no to Maa.

He had some free time that evening so he decided to get done with this letter job. He hired a cab and reached Chaturvedi's place. It was a small old house which gave the clear picture of the poor living conditions of its occupants.

He rang the bell. After a while an old woman opened the door. She looked at him inquiringly.

Bihaan: "Is this Mrs. Chaturvedi's residence?"

Old Lady: "Yes but who are you?"

Bihaan: "I am Balvinder Pandey's son and has come to meet Mrs. Chaturvedi. Is she home?"


Old lady stared at his face for some time and started shouting.

Old Lady: "Every one just hurry up. Look who is here finally. Its Balvinder Pandey's son. He is here to fulfil his father's promise"

An army of all aged women hurried to the door with smiles on their faces, leaving a confused and shocked Bihaan standing on the door wondering what is happening.

hmm so i guess Balvinder promised Thapki's mom to get Thapki married to his son but Vasu was dead against this alliance...that's why she sent that letter for Mrs. Chaturvedi

What a pleasant surprise! I think sania di is right..mein bhi aisa hi soch rahi hoon..matlah thapki ko pehle hi pata he uski shadi bihaan se hi hoga...maa ne beti ko samaja diya hoga..but hamara bechara bihaan ko kuch bhi maloom nahi..i like suman bhabhi ki pari..she is so sweet. Waiting for the next one..pls do it asap di..

Haha - I see a bit of a new Saas-Bahu-Betiyaan version here - but also a glimpse of 'Child Marriage' (promise from Bauji to Thapki's Mum, ummm?) - 'prevented' by Vasu Maa and her 'letter' (or...not really...) 😆
