Your friend has taste, lol. Wali was one amazing character (though, he had his flaws) and Farah was a difficult character but she has under gone one nice development! Though, I didn't like her mother, much (might be the one you are talking about). Give it a try, especially the later episodes are good, and the last one was just top-notch!
