So unpopular opinion here but I actually really like the idea of Bihaan and Thapki together. I was talking to my mom about it while we watched yesterday's episode (I haven't seen today's yet as it hasn't come on here yet) but I think there are so many more possibilities for an interesting story if Bihaan and Thapki end up married instead for Dhruv and Thapki.

What happens once Dhruv and Thapki get married? Where does the story go after that? Two good people, seemingly in love with each other, get married, now what?

Dhruv had the potential to be quite and interesting character at the beginning. I was interested to see where this was going to go but then all of a sudden he falls in love with Thapki and he's just the standard one dimensional "hero" of the show, that really nice and super good guy. And don't get me wrong, if this were real life there's nothing wrong with that but a character like that does not make a compelling lead.

Bihaan on the other hand has quite a few different sides to his character. He loves his adoptive parents, there's definitely many insecurities under the surface and issues that stem from his complex childhood. On th flip side he can also be a jerk. He's not the kindest guy to new people and has taken every opportunity to be insulting to Thapki, but why? Is he just an awful guy?! No, and we know that fon what we know from his interactions with his family.

What is Thapki bringing to a relationship with Dhruv, he's a powerful guy who is her boss first and foremost. He's settled, he knows his mind, and he is who he is. We've seen change come to him already because of her but I mean that's been done. He's in a position of power in comparisson to Thapki. With Bihaan she could be more of an equal. He will challenge her and she will ultimately challenge him.

Maybe if they hadn't rushed Thapki/Dhruv I might have felt different because I was definitely intrigued by the pair in the beginning but they became stale. Bihaan and Thapki have more long term interesting story potential. Plus, I think losing Thapki will add mor layers to Dhruv's character as well.

I'm honestly hoping they don't go with th obvious here and put her with Dhruv in the long term.

@PreetD : Interesting post. The chances are high that Thapki may agree to marry Bihaan as she doesn't want her parents to be shown in a bad light again. 😊 Besides, Bihaan has already assumed that Dhruv is having an arranged marriage to please his mother! And Thapki is yet to confess her love to Dhruv. So, he may assume that she doesn't love him. 😕

Amidst all this drama, the Creatives wl try to bring some new twist. Bihaan and Thapki do make a cute on-screen couple, but Dhruv has made promises to her parents. So, another possibility is Dhruv walking out of the Pandey House! 😊 I want Thapki to refuse Vasundhara in case she asks Bihaan to marry Thapki. Women power. Well, lets wait and watch...

😳 😳

ThaRuv marriage will make the story typical
but bihaan thapki marriage is the worst decision
its better to show no marriage than to lose audience

i hate thapki bihaan because i love ThaRuv ❤️

Well said.. completely agree..

Honestly I have nothing against Dhruv he's sweet yet he doesn't have the depth to his character one would expect from a lead not to the extent to grasp my attention anyways.. Bihaan intrigues me simply because he's not a one dimensional character there's layers to him we as the audience want to peel away in order to get a better understanding of him as a whole..

I personally think Thapki would be better of with Bihaan she will not only make him a better human being in turn giving him the affection he has craved for.. but he will force her to stand up for herself making her a stronger individual in the long run.. Dhruv supports her which is fine but sooner or later she will have to take a stand and the chances of that taking place seem brighter where Bihaan is concerned.. hopefully as you stated they will give Dhruv a chance to shine as well in the future because for the time being it's just not working for me..!!

I agree with you 100%. Bihaan-thapki (Biki - my short form for the pairing) have a lot more potential in terms of the storyline than Dhruv-thapki.
I believe this was not the original storyline as Bihaan's introduction with the confrontation with Aditi etc. seemed like he was going to be paired with her. However, something happened behind the scenes - may be the channel got audience feedback that favored this new pairing or there were differences between the actors and maker or something else. And the story changed completely
Dhruv has become a really one-dimensional character, even more goody-goody than most soap heroines. At this point unless there is major shift in the story, I would actually prefer BiKi pairing. Their interactions have been interesting so far - more at an equal level. Thapki treats Dhruv more like a father-figure.
Thanks for your post.

While Thapki may agree to marry Bihaan, the wedding bells may not ring so soon. Instead, the drama wl slowly...after all TRPs are important na?? 😃

Thapki and Dhruv are the lead pair so that may not change. How Thapki conquers the odds and wins everyone, incl Dhruv could be the storyline.

Rekha - Perhaps you are right about there not being a wedding very soon, but like you said with what happened the last time around it seems it might be likely posisbility that there is going to be a wedding sooner rather than later.

Binny & Katori - Completely on the same page with you guys. Binny I love what you said about Thapki giving Bihaan the affection he craves and doesn't really get from the people around him. It's like he knows that these people care about him but it's almost conditional love you know? But with Thapki it wouldn't be one sided. Katori, I couldn't agree more about how Bihaan is more her equal whereas Dhruv is, not like a father figure in my opinion, but her superior, someone for her to look up to. I don't see love from Thapki's side here. Dhruv is her boss, he's someone she admires and looks up to, who has stood up for her BUT that doesn't mean it's equal to love. It's so easy for a young girl who idolizes someone who then in turn is so nice to her like that to mistake it for love, but it's hero-worship at best.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I think to have a good foundation the two people in a relationship need to be on equal ground, Dhruv and Thapki aren't - he actually holds all the cards here (power, money, status, age). Thapki hasn't come into her own enough yet to be able to be on equal ground with him. Whereas with Bihaan there's a possibility of that give and take between them.

I can completely see Bihaan giving Thapki the push to be able to stand up for herself more whereas Dhruv is just going to want to rush in and save Thapki every time, am I making sense when I say that? I mean look at today, instead of talking to her like a normal adult in a healthy relationship would do, what does Dhruv do? He gives her money to handle all the expenses the family was worried about. While that's all great and all it undermines her. He could have had a conversation with her about it like and equal would and they could have come up with something.

I don't mean any disrespect but I agree, Dhruv is a very bland character, he's actually quite boring and one dimensional. The actor, from the earlier stuff, seems to be able to handle more, this would open up a lot of possibilities for his character too.

I guess I don't want the typical Indian serial here where just because the show started with a possible romance between Dhruv and Thapki that that's the way it must remain. Stories are dynamic and changing, I feel like sometimes the expectation is that come what may the two characters introduced at the beginning of a series as a couple must become and remain a couple throughout the run of a series. It's the most frustrating thing for me when I watch some serials (and I've stopped watching a lot of them) when characters outgrow each other or instances change and yet couples are kept in relationships they have no business being in.

Hi girls,
Even I want to comment on this..I really really love Thapki Dhruv pair but now I am confused coz bihaan Thapki pair too is heart fluttering.. Whenever they are together on screen the excitement level really goes up.. I love Dhruv and I really like bihaan too.. What a dilemma hehe :p
Actually I really wished they would not show any marriage so soon.. I wanted to watch her deal with stammering in her daily life in office, love triangle and lots of love.. And marriage maybe few months later.. Something like jassi jaisi koi nahi..
But it's OK i am still loving it..
Love u Dhruv and bihaan hehe :p

Dina_Dee - I never watched Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi but we had Ugly Betty which was the same concept. I loved that show and I loved how comfortable Betty became in her own skin and when she finally did get a "makeover" it wasn't because she felt like that was the only way people would take her seriously, she grew and evolved and came to a place where that's what the right step was for her you know, not because she was doing it for someone else.

It would have been nice if they focused on Thapki more and her dealing with life without introducing a love track. Honestly, I think I could have gotten behind the pairing of Dhruv and Thapki but it was way too rushed. I don't know why there's always a rush to the mandip. The characters don't have to be in relationships to be compelling and interesting. I also don't like the workplace romance aspect as they've played it because something about it just doesn't sit right. It was too rushed and I don't like that Dhruv is in this role of power over her. There was no build up, he's still her boss and she still very much idolizes him, that's not a balanced or equal relationship.
