Twenty-two-year-old Manish Goplani always wanted to be an artiste, which is why he started doing theatre in his home town Jaipur.

He says, "Once I realized that theatre teaches you the basics of acting, I started spending all my time doing that after college. I did many plays at Ravindra Manch and Jawahar Kala Kendra. Within a year of doing theatre I got a Rajasthani show 'Chorre Tera Gaon Bada Pyaara', which happened six months ago. After that I went back to theatre, and then I got 'Thapki... Pyaar Ki'."
Manish's first show was also with Jigyasa Singh, who plays the titular character in Thapki, and is also from Jaipur.

"I play Dhruv's (Ankit Bathla) stepbrother Bihaan in the show. The character is that of a cute badmaash, who is not very educated but is very close to his father and would do anything that he says, at any cost. He's a good guy but the character also has negative shades," explains Manish.
The first one to enter showbiz from his family, Manish bagged this role in Jaipur and then shifted to Mumbai two-and-a-half months ago.

He says, "I got this show in Jaipur and then I shifted here. I don't miss Jaipur but I miss my family and friends. I'm loving Mumbai! I've been in Jaipur for so long that I needed some change and Mumbai is great. This is the first time I've come out of my home town. But because I can't stay without meeting my mother, I keep visiting. It's only been almost three months and I've already been to Jaipur twice."
