You can fasttrack guess. Sahiba can't cite Angad abusing her but in show he can cite Sahiba is mentally ill but he won't so.

When she was mentally sound they agreed to part ways and now if she goes crazy, if anything his dear mumma will force him to divorce naa.. so hopefully that happens.

Now I understood his redemption won't be taking care of her but not fast tracking divorce citing mental health. Mumma will force him to cite and he will change his mind last second.

But it is obvious he won't. Had that happened Sahiba would be safe and alive.

He will change mind last minute. I believe he will consider it and Sahiba will beg a lot in her mentally ill state (like Simran sending to orphanage drama)

Basically makers wanted to show Sahiba begging. Mentally ill sahiba will beg to angad for not giving divorce and then once she recovers again she will beg to not give divorce as she will be indebted to him for not giving divorce when she was mentally unstable.
