OS Threads

I see so many "OS" threads - what exactly does OS mean? Right now page 1 & 2 of this show's forum is all OS lol

A quick fan fiction references list for anyone who needs it, folks!

OS oneshot. Only one part, strictly.

TS two or threeshot.

SS short story. Usually 4-10 chapters.

FF fan fiction. More than 10 chapters.

Canon. Something that has actually occurred in the show, or could have in the original timeline but was not shown.

AU. Alternate Universe. Same characters, but usually in a completely different setting.

Canon Divergence. A story that starts as canon, but then takes a what if route and diverges.

Also, a reminder to anyone who might read this and writes fan fictions, Trigger Warnings! I've seen on other forums how sometimes people ignore these, and it has resulted in some pretty bad situations. So if you have the slightest feeling that someone might be affected adversely by any part of your story, then please do mention it at the beginning!

You covered pretty much everything except for Drabble I guess?

A drabble is a short piece in comparison to One shot. Even though people tend to use some dialogues, traditionally a drabble refers to a particular character's inner monologue / turmoil in the scene or setting that the writer is portraying. It does not have conversations, just thoughts and story / scene. Conversations are a part of one-two-three-four-five shots / SS-FF.

Also if your story is inspired from any other story written here, on this forum / any other forum or even from any other platform or book do not forget to mention the same. Your stories can be taken down and deemed plagiarised if you fail to do so. It would be unnecessary hassle.
