I dislike ASB - he's arrogant and annoying with no reason. HOWEVER, he now has a clear reason to dislike Sahiba. I'm not saying that his name calling is right. He sucks but look at it from his perspective. He likes a girl, she seems to be the answer to all his needs and wants, wants to marry her, reaches the wedding mandap, only to find out that the bride is missing and her place has been taken by a girl he detests (although his reasons are superficial and idiotic). He wants to send her to jail but is cleverly manipulated by the man he respects the most to marry her.
We have to remember that he still thinks that Seerat has been hidden somewhere by Sahiba. Santosh has already proven herself to be a liar, and Seerat has never actually shown any reasons to not marry him before so why would he believe that she ran away- he is stupid, but being stupid in love/lust is common, no?
Coming to the Brars, they all dislike Sahiba except Daarji. Daarji has seen her actions outside of the wedding mandap and was impressed before itself, the others have not. If he was as clueless as the others, would he have supported Sahiba-Angad's wedding, no matter the family respect and stuff? And the Brars are rightfully angry - the Mongas continuously lied to them, and in the end, the situation was worse enough that what Santosh wanted, happened. A Monga got married to a Brar. In their eyes, their son's life is ruined and their family reputation is being ridiculed. Why would they want to respect Sahiba?
Although I feel that Angad should be quiet, because he at least had his consent as he got married. But Dadi, Manbir, Inder etc, were against the wedding to begin with. Wanting Sahiba to break off her relationship with her family seems harsh, but as a viewer, they deserve it. Except for Keerat who is a darling. No other bahu/beti of the family has had her family pulling off such scams and destroying several lives in the process (and if they have, no one knows), so the comparison fell flat for me.
I know Sahiba is going to shine through all her obstacles, and Angad and the rest of the family is slowly going to fall for her, but at this stage except for the one dialogue about the house help, I found their behavior very consistent for a family that had been deceived and cheated upon.
Again - Brars were naive and stupid; it's annoying but it isn't a crime. Mongas were liars and deceitful. That is a crime.
