He thought she was a gold digger during the initial episodes of marriage. Plus as per her character she is a simple lady and she doesn't like so much gold and jewellery.

She used to be really simple yet beautiful ... And the ML fall for that only. He realised that she is such a simple lady that even if he gift her whole shop she would rather give it in charity than please herself 🤣.. but yes he did small small things he let her pursue her career even organised exhibition for her art.
