C H A P T E R 16

I became more aware of the distance when a new member was expecting to come into our life.

Both of us did ever expect that entry.It was after dada marriage that happy but sad news came.

PAST'

A month later '.At hospital

Taani was waiting outside.

Nurse:Taani Ganguly

Taani stood up.

Nurse:Doctor bula rahi hain.

Taani entered.

Doctor:Sit down Taani.

Taani:Doctor voh

Doctor:Congrats Taani you are expecting.

Taani:Kya?!

Doctor:Mujhe iss bath ki harani ho rahi ki aapko 2 teen maheene se aapko patha nahi chala

Taani:Mathlab'?

Doctor:Yeh apka teesra maheena chal raha hain aur aapko bauhath khayal raghna hoga

Taani was shocked because its just month completed after TaAnu wedding.Her eyes filled with tears.

Taani:Mein javoon

Doctor:Haan mein kuch medicines likhi kha lena

PRESENT'

That news gave blow to me but Onu,may be because of the support he has given at that time

Is compelling me to still love him. But as before I told about the invisible distance became

more vivid with same thing.

RING'!!!:- I immediately picked up the phone as I was expecting the same.

"Hello jeeju":- I said before other side could tell something.

"Haan Taani tumhare pass sirf ek ganta":- he said

Thank you jeeju thank you":-I said with delight.

He hung the phone.I ran to Onu's room.

PAST'

Taani entered into Ganguly house'Neelu climbed down the stairs/

Neelu:Tu aagayi Taani

Taani looked at her.

Neelu:Tu ji jaake pooch Onu se use kya hogaya hain

Taani:Onu aagaya?

Neelu:Aya bhi darwaza band karke baitta hain

Taani:Mein dekthi hoon

Taani opened the room's door.she could see the room was lightened with candles and the floor was filled with red ballons.She moved in between the balloons.

Taani:Light off kyun hain..?

Lights were on.She Anurag infront of her leaning to wall.He slowly moved towards her holding his one hand back.As he moved to her backside then.Hugging her from backside he gave bouquet of red roses to her she noticed the poster on the wall.Unknowning tears trembled from her eyes.

Anurag:Ab tum yeh soch rahe honge mujhe kaise patha chala.Dr.Chattarjee phone congrats keliye keliye usne tumhe Dr.Banejee ke room aathe hue dekhliye aur jab use sab patha chala he called me.

He turned her towards him.He noticed tears in her eyes.He kissed on her forehead.She moved away from him and turned to otherside.

Taani:Mujhe yeh nahi chahiye Onu

Anurag:Kya?!..Haan mana ki bache jaldi hogayi voh humare romance ki waqt mein.vaise bhi there is no age for romance.

As he was about to kiss on her cheek she turned towards him.

Taani:Yeh tera bacha nahi hain Onu

Telling this she fell to his chest.Anurag.Something broke inside Anurag tears fall.He from his eyes. He quickly wiped his tears.He hugged her.

Taani:Galathi meri hain mein ek Doctor jaan nahi paya ki mein shaadi se pehle pregnant thi.

Anurag:Look at me

He lifted her head holding her chin.He had smile on his face.

Anurag:Galathi meri m Hain ki mein tujhe viswas nahi dila paya that you can trust me.

Taani:Onu'

Anurag:Kya tum mujhe ithna haq nahi denge ki mein iss bache ko apna sakoon.Jaise mein tumhe seene se lagathi hoon mein iss bache ko bhi seene se lagavoon

She hugged him.

Taani:I Love You Onu

Anurag:Ithne din hogaye shaadi hoke tum jaake I love you bol rahe ho

She smiled at him.

Anurag:Taani tu mujhse vaada kar ki zindagi kuch bhi ho jaye tum iss bache ko tumse alag nahi hone denge

Taani:Mein vada karthi hoon Onu iss bache keliye mein apni jaan bhi doongi.

PRESENT'

We were standing inside bedroom at Ganguly house.Rithesh jeeju came helped me to get into house with Onu.Atkeast for he moved the family to a far away temple.I noticed that Onu stood looking at same poster that pasted on the wall on day we got happy news.

"Yeh poster toh tum ne laga tha Onu yaad agaya":- I said As usual he didn't repond.

"Yahan par khade hoke mein tum pehli baar I Love You kaha tha":-I said with hope

Then I noticed he was moving his hand over the poster.A little of hope sparked inside me.

"Tumhe kuch yaad aagaya Onu":- I asked for which he looked at him

"Aaj kithni beed thi mandir mein" I heard something saying like that from outside.

I peeped through the keyhole then I saw Neelu maa Ananya di coming towards this room.I remembered jeeju informing me about the one hour but the one and half hour has already passed..I turned and by hitting my hand a vase fell and broke.Suddenly someone opened the door.i moved behind the door. Neelu and di saw Onu.

"Onu '!" Neelu maa called out

"Tu yahan kaise?" Di curiously asked.

Rithesh jeeju dragged me and told "Yeh layi hain Anurag ko"

"Taani tu jinda hain?"Neelu maa asked.

I didn't react.

"Vaah Taani tu ne apni dosthi ache se nibhayi.Tere saath ne pagal khane thak Onu ko pohcha diya"Di's those words gave a shock to me.

"Mein ne di .. mein ne joh bhi kiya" Neelu maa didn't let me to complete"Voh ek zaza thi.Mana ki mere bate ne galathi ki hain lekin ithni badi zaza dene ki kya zarorath thi Taani" I couldn't bare Neelu maa words.

"Maa please kisi ko koi zaza nahi diya hain.Mein toh sirf uski khushi chahthi thi"I burstee out.

"Ab toh voh bauhath khush hain na?" Maa asked to which I had no answer.What I expected was not his this condition.

I knelt down and my sorrow,my feeling,my expectation were burst into loud sob.Ananya di and maa took their postion as same as mine.

"Yeh mein ne kya kar diya"I asked to myself.

"Kismath ke khel toh dekho beta Onu treat khud tu aagayi"I looked at Neelu maa while she was telling this

"Aur tumhara bacha kahan hain Taani" I couldn't control my tears when she asked that. "Mein ne sab kuch kho diya maa"I fell on her chest telling this.I somehow managed to live after happening that incident. I never thought in my dreams that I could be the reason for both; for te death of my baby and for present condition of Onu

Returning asylum after such an incident I thought if god can do anything he should do it here.He should do something using me.He can't punish Onu for my mistake'.My own mistake.
