Hey readers,
I am new to this forum of Tere Liye and I just love TaAnu! I read Fan Fictions, Short Stories on them and decided to write on of my own. I hope it will be appreciated and I would really love to know your opinions! So please don't hesitate as your comments will motivate me... 😃
~Prologue~
The blood oozed out of her fair skin as she lay there, deserted, abandoned and on her last breaths. It didn't stop and kept on washing away by the heavy rain which pattered on and on and kept on seeping through her. The sight of her made his heart clench and shatter in tiny pieces and he felt, he was to blame for it.
"Taani! Taani!" he heard, as he swung round to find the person he was least expected to find. Laboni froze at the sight of him, with his hands placed on her ice cold cheek and her head placed on his knee. Her eyes were clamped shut and she felt her heart cry out in pain. Her daughter was no more, no more, no more..
The words ringed in her ears as she stood like a mannequin, her senses gone but only the shock left. She couldn't believe she was still alive while her very own daughter had died, she couldn't believe she was standing straight letting this drown in her. The next minute she took small steps towards her corpse while he was unable to meet her gaze.
The rain washed away his tears but they kept coming back, brimming his chocolate brown eyes and then escaping the very next second. But she however, didn't seem to notice that regret which was coming and disappearing, coming and disappearing and the very next second, a tight slap came across his cheek.

Anurag was horrified. The dream couldn't be true, could it? Taani couldn't die, could she? Even the warm silk duvet was not enough to put him back to his slumber and he felt himself rushing out of his elegant mansion down the road.
He was the solitary figure in the entire road and that was enough to creep anyone out apart from him who had already began screaming out her name viciously. The lights in her room at once switched on and he sensed her rushing down the stairs.
The next minute, the door flung open and she stood there, her eyes red and brimmed like always. But his savage cries for her had made her forget the pain she had been suffering for many days. 'What's wrong with you now, Anu?' she thought as he approached towards her, the hardness and worry still in check.
"Taani?" he murmured as he clasped his stiff hands on her cold arms which made him shudder. "Tu theek hai na?" Her confused eyes gazed back at him but she was unable to utter a word. "Bol na? Tu theek hai na!?" he asked hysterically shaking her meekly.
"Haan, Anu. Main theek hoon! Par tu itni raat -" she stammered, but stopped as the piercing sound startled her breaking their eye lock.
The coldness and fierceness in his voice was enough to make her maintain a distant between them and she began retreating. "Taani! Undar ja!" he cried as she swung round to find him glaring at the two.
But she didn't move, she didn't know how to react. She had seen him after days and she didn't feel like stepping away from him. In fact, she felt as if she would collapse any minute in his arms. Her train of thoughts came to an end as a stiff hand dragged her inside, and the slamming of the door shut made her feel as if that door was slammed to lock her feelings inside..
