Reading this article about Abhijeet really frustrates me. Ultimately, he is simply a judge on this show and is only allowed to critique people based on their performances. That's it. Whether Musarrat is from Pakistan, India, or China even, should make absolutely no difference to him as a judge. He is entitled to his own opinion but that does not mean that he is given the right to insult others (e.g. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan). It is impossible to compare the talents of nations and say that one nation has much better singers than the other. There are good and bad singers everywhere. In case Abhijeet has forgotten, India and Pakistan used to be one nation. Had they not seperated, would Abhijeet still make his claims saying that one side of India is better than the other? If a person has enough talent and will power, they will succeed, no matter where they are from. Just because Pakistan does not have shows similar to Ek Se Badkhar Ek and Saregamapa that include singers from other countries, it doesn't mean that India cannot have these types of open-minded shows. I am a Pakistani Canadian myself and I appreciate Zee TVs efforts to bring people from different nations together. Diversity is a beautiful thing. Zee TV is doing a great job. If people keep fighting, they are not going to progress. Bringing Pakistanis down will not help other Indians to get noticed or selected. Abhijeet should do his job and keep his rude and unnecessary comments to himself.

Abhijeet does make some valid points but it still doesn't fully justify his stand...Just because Pakistan doesn't allow Indian talent to stay there doesn't mean India should act the same way....I don't get why Abhijeet is spewing his political views on an entertainment show....he can believe whatever he wants but he is a judge and his purpose is to evaluate performances not push forward his agenda....

As to who can take part it is up to Zee to decide and they are the ones footing all the bill. Judges can make suggestions to Zee, but not out in Public where there is a lot of controversy and misunderstandings on sensitive issues. Abhijeet cannot think staight sometimes because he likes Sanchita too much.😆 He has a very loving heart.

I agree with Rocket .. Rocket u have well said ..
I am happy, we have persons like Abhijeetda to represent India and care about India ...
Which Indian singer is singing in rival country or participating in reality show there ?
Why SRK is not hiring Abhijeetda ? Is he also supporting them ?
Then better move from India and become the rival country citizen ...Don't sit in India and earn money and finally support them , just becasue you have fans there ...
Out Country INDIA comes first, then SRK fans ....so better respect the nationality and be a good citizen , then a good actor...
HATS OFF TO ABHIJEETDA ...
To Administrator : It is not good on your part to close a thread when some one speaks reality. Truth is always bitter. You cannot accept everything goody in discussion .. this has happened and we need to take this things seriously or else it will be late for our country .....

Abhijeet has some valid points but He is no where near being correct. I like him as a singer but as a person, he has failed miserably.

First I would like him to visit US and UK and then talk about tolerance. Because as a Pakistani and Muslim, I am denied so many rights in US. While a non-Muslim, per say Indians are given more rights than me, even when I'm on the same boat as my friend next to me.

Also I would like to point out somethings, unlike India, which is bigger in size and in market, Pakistan does not have that privileged. We are smaller in size, our economy is poor, our government is mainly Islamic base, and there are a lot of other things that won't really benefit India much. The only some things we have are benefits to the rest of the world. If he still wants to come into Pakistan, be our guest but he won't like it. A lot of Pakistani's go out of the countries because there are less opportunities for them in pakistan since the country itself is not good in economy-wise. But that is not saying that people don't love their country, I love my country but I don't like some of its rules.

Even in USA, there are a lot of things that people are unaware of until it happens to them. unless you live in USA, you wouldn't be aware of how this country is run.

Another point that he missed was that people like Mussarat were selected among the people who auditioned for talent hunts and just like any Indian person was chosen, they were chosen as well. They were not brought in like that without their hard-work. They went through the same process like all the Indians, the only difference is that they are foreigners.

Every country has its set of rules, I know that even India has some of its rules that are not liked by others but they abide it because all nations have to be cautious, no matter what. I know USA is no matter what. some people are deported while some stay here. some are denied visas while others are not but they all have valid reasons behind them. So I'm sure there are reasons why a lot of Indians are not allowed in Pakistan or why alot of Pakistanis are not allowed in India. I know that both countries military can't go to their neighbor, even if you have a family living in the other country.

just my POV, not trying to hurt people's feelings

Actually hun,
that is not a right reason to bring it up. There are more Muslims in India than in Pakistan, it is a fact. Pakistan is not a totaly Muslim nation, yes it was made that way for Muslim but even today many non-muslims live in Pakistan. So the reasons you provided are not correct. Please don't bring those as reasons because factually, they are not valid.

btw I'm a pakistani too,

Hello Sobia,
Well I agree that what Abhijeet said were wrong but some of the points he made were valid. Like Atif has a great voice no doubt on that but as a singer, I don't think he qualifies. Personally I like him as a musician but as a Singer, he doesn't have that. His voice quality is definitely a keep but his singing, as in sur, taal, all the things that are required to become a good singer, he doesnt have that. But that doesn't mean he is bad or he is not learning. I heard that he was learning how to sing, at least he is taking that effort to improve himself. I like him a lot, love his music, his lyrics, and his singing style. He definitely is good. Just needs to improve to be the best.

As for mussarat or Ustad Nusrat Fated Ali khan, well Abhijeet has no right to say such things but then again he has different opinion. Also it just really makes him the bad guy, not us. We shouldn't do such things just because another person is doing it. In Islam, that is not what we are taught, we shouldn't behave the same way another person behaves with us when it is negative. So let it be if some people don't like what we have to say but we should show them how it is done as good Pakistani citizens.

I would like to point out something on the Visa status with Proof that according to the Pakistani Visa processing, you need certain documents for application. One point I made sure was that and Invitation should be given by a business company or something for a day trip. you need proof of that...here is mine:
"Application requirements: (a) Original valid passport, plus one photocopy. (b) One application form. (c) Two passport-size photos. (d) Confirmed return/onward ticket. (e) Proof of sufficient funds for duration of stay. (f) Fee payable by cash or postal order only. (g) For business trips, a letter of invitation from a company in Pakistan." (http://www.learn4good.com/travel/pakistan_visa.htm). In the same link there is pointed out that at the moment, all the entries are being denied.

It was nice to meet you too Sobia and remember, try to be a good person even if the person in front of you is not. kyun ki hamari pehchan hamaray behavior pe hai. We shouldn't try to hurt our enemy, just like Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) treated his enemies with utmost respect. It is a sunnah for us as a Muslim and we should set an example as a Muslim and a Pakistani.

Rooj
