First of all he is the son of a only mother. I know this can't be a good excuse for his poor upbringing considering twinkle was brought up by a single mother too, who built a business empire whilst giving twinkle a good upbringing, but sons are usually known to be more rebellious and hard to get through to, so his typical, rebellious boy nature combined with a poor upbringing is the reason why yuvi has such a poor outlook on life and relationships.
A mother teaches their child to love, to have compassion for others, to respect people and to maintain the relationships they have. However, life was not so kind to yuvi in this department as his mother, who's every action is driven by her hatred, jealousy and desire for vengeance from one person only ever pulled her son into her games of revenge by planting seeds of hatred in his mind against twinkle's mother and encouraged him to play with people's emotions, taught him that humans can be manipulated to their advantage and that if a person desires something then it is justifiable to go to all extents to get what they want. How can a boy who was never taught about the importance of love and relationships know the meaning of it and how to see the difference between right and wrong or love and obsession.
They say that despite being physically stronger, men are emotionally weaker than women, that all men need the companionship or support of a woman who can provide them with unconditional love in order for them to lead an emotionally stable and happy life. Yuvi is no different from other men. He would seek love, affection and respect from a mother who only ever felt proud of him when he met her devilish expectations, and chided and disregarded him as useless when he failed to carry out her evil plans. Twinkle on the other hand, despite being a pawn in his and his mother's hand to destroy her mother as directed by his own mother, was the only female figure in his life who he ever received unconditional love and attention from, the only woman who revered him and who tried to see good in him even when there was none.
Yuvi was in a non-physical, emotionally intimate relationship with twinkle for 7 long years, in which twinkle showered him with the love and affection he never received from anyone due to which he unintentionally became attached to her. Though his love for her is not real and is in fact just an attachment, he feels possessive about her and does have somewhat human emotions for her. Perhaps his obsession with twinkle is due to the fact she is the only girl who he has crossed paths with who didn't show an interest in getting intimate with him and neither let him get intimate with her. For yuvi twinkle is an unclaimed trophy, a toy that has not been yet played with, an item of unworn clothing, and once he gets that intimacy from her he would probably feel a strong sense of achievement and would then forget her and move on to the next girl who he finds attractive or a challenge for him. Twinkle has bruised his ego by rejecting him for another man, hence why he is madly after her.
