Twinkle's point of view:
I felt really bad for Twinkle. My heart broke for her. She did everything for the right reasons. She knew that Kunj had a fractured relationship with his father and she did not want to weaken it further. Twinkle genuinely believed that she had solved everything on her own. You could see her shock as she really thought the matter was dealt with. Lying to the people we love the most is one of the hardest things. Sometimes we lie because we know the truth can be destructive for the other person and we want to shield them from pain. Sometimes certain situations are so complicated that lying is the best option. Twinkle was torn between her duties as a daughter in law and her duties as a wife. As a daughter in law she did the right thing as it was not her secret to tell. Manhoar specifically asked her not to tell anyone especially Kunj. We all know that as soon as she found out Kunj was the first person in her mind. However she chose not to tell him so she wouldn't betray her father in law's trust and maintain whatever image Kunj had of his father. As a wife though she should have told him. I am going to repost something I wrote last week during the love week.
The biggest problem in the Twinj relationship is trust and communication. While re watching old Twinj scenes I noticed how after the first kiss scene when Kunj and Twinkle were discussing the scene Twinkle brings the farmhouse MU and Kunj is almost about to tell her it's was Yuvi's fault when Yuvi interrupts them. Kunj at that time decides to withhold the information and in his monologue he cites the reason that he doesn't want Twinkle to feel even more uncomfortable with Yuvi. This is the time when Twinkle was sure that Yuvi was acting and used to get irritated when he used to get close to her. Yuvi even kissed her on the cheek and hugged her at multiple times. So previously I just glossed over this but now I kind of feel Kunj should have told her before. This was Twinkle's thing and it was a really serious thing and Twinkle deserved to know at that time. Then during RT track we saw how desperately Kunj wanted to tell her the truth but was forced by Leela not to tell her as it was not his secret to tell. We saw him torn between his wife and mother in law and he thought that withholding the information was the best thing. However due to the circumstances Twinkle found out on her own.
As much as I like the fluff and romantic moments between Twinj I am glad that this track would bring their communication issue on the surface. Both Kunj and twinkle need to work on this part of their relationship they should learn to rely on each other. Marriage is about inclusion and leaning on your partner when things get tough something both Kunj and Twinkle need to learn.
