The title of this song hints at the underlying feelings Kunj and Twinkle have, that brewing attraction. It was a good idea to play this song during this round because it showed Twinkle, especially, being deeply affected by Kunj's touch, his presence, his proximity. Both of them have reached a point where they are physically attracted to one another. For example, when Kunj wanted to kiss Twinkle, how she expected a kiss in the car, the whole Solah Shringaar scene.
Yun To Solah Saavan Aaye Gaye
Sixteen seasons of monsoon passed by
Gaur Nahi Kiya Hamne...
But still I didn't notice any one of them
Bheega Mann Ka Aangan Is Martaba...
But this time, the courtyard of my heart got drenched
Kya Jaane Kya Kiya Tumne...
Who knows what You've done? (to make this happen)
This verse, although not played, is perfect for Twinkle and Kunj. The first line connects to how Kunj and Twinkle have been married for some time. It goes on to establish that while they may have had unconscious attraction they did not notice it. However, as the fourth and fifth line say, this time, things have changed and they are unsure on what has happened. Things have definitely changed for them hence the "is martaba". They have had to handle Yuvi's foolishness previously however that was more on a responsibility basis. This time, they have had time to grow with each other, to grow closer. Like rain drenches a person completely; they have gotten more involved in each other's life hence they have gotten drenched. The last line points to the unsure nature of their new feelings. We've seen Kunj question his feelings and as the recap suggests so is Twinkle. Until now, they did not see each other as more than responsibilities so they are unsure of what the other has done to them.
Dil Mein Jaage... Ishq Waali... Manmarziyan... Manmarziyan...
In my heart arose... the desires of love
Zid Ki Maare.. Yun To Solah
They are stubborn... sixteen seasons
Bhooli Bhaali... Saawan
Innocent and naive... of monsoon
Manmarziyan... Aaye Gaye
Desires (will) of the heart... came and went
Manmarziyan...
Desires of the heart
The first portion of this is rather obvious. New desires are arising in both their hearts. These desires are stubborn because they are intense are prevailing. But, while they are stubborn, they are also innocent as this is the first time for both of the falling in true love. Their awkwardness attests to the naivety of it.
Ab Talak Se... Kuchh Alag Si... Manmarziyan... Manmarziyan...
From now on... they are a bit different... the desires of the heart
Hum Zameen Pe... Bheega Mann Ka
I am on the Earth... the courtyard of the heart
Tu Falak Se... Aangan
You are on the horizon... got drenched
Manmarziyan... Is Martaba
Desires of the heart... this time
Manmarziyan...
Desires of the heart
The first line just brings it back to the whole responsibility nature of their marriage, At first, Kunj did the things he did based on responsibility. Yes, he felt for Twinkle but now it has become romantic, hence his feelings have changed and become different. The same goes for Twinkle. The whole Earth and Horizon thing can go two ways:
Name: I mentioned in my "What's In A Name' post on the meanings of each other names. Kunj's means overgrown trees while Twinkle's means sparkle or happiness. Trees are found on Earth and twinkling stars in the sky or horizon.
Roles: Kunj is down-to-Earth and more calm and level headed compared to Twinkle. Twinkle, on the other hand, is more with her head in the clouds given her impulsivity and hyper-nature. Hence, Kunj grounds her and she lifts him up. (Hopefully this makes sense).
As per the new way, I only included the most relevant aspects of the song so as to keep it short and sweet for you all (somehow it never ends up being short...LOL). Anyways, as always, I look forward to all of your thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to read!
