I don't know if I am the only person but I feel like Twinkle still can't act properly. She fails to deliver emotional scenes properly, i feel like she also struggles with dialogues, struggles with face expression and emotions. She's good in playing bubbly roles and but she seems to have difficulties doing emotional scenes and fighting scenes. Like she has the same expression on her through out the episode.

I love the actress, I have nothing against her but am just stating my opinion. Jasmine seems sweet but all am trying to say she fails to bring those expressions on her face. She nails happy bubbly scenes but not well with others. It makes me cringe.

Not hating on Jasmine but just wanted to know if there are other member in the forum that feels that way?

P.S don't start hating on me for my opinion lol. Let's keep it classy and matured!

Quite honestly , I really didn't like Jas' acting in the beginning of the show , she used to make me cringe but for me she's improved tremendously and I love watching her onscreen now , is she the best actress ? no , but she's still relatively new and still learning after all this is her first big break but I think she's doing a great job so far and as the show progresses she'll improve even more . It's actually weird when I go back and watch old scenes because the difference is pretty clear , if anything she just needs to work on her emotional scenes a bit. Actually all 3 of them have improved since the beginning of the show , I'm proud tbh 😆

PS Emma looks lovely in your dp ❤️

@countingstarz Thank you :D i also feel she needs to work on her emotional scene and after that she will be amazing. But i'd rather watch her being bubbly and happy because she nails it and does it so well haha.

EMMA does look good, I can't stop drooling over the pic

Jas is a beautiful actress but indeed some of her scenes aren't that good, and somethings I feel she speaks too loudly besides that the show really has a good storyline

I whole heartedly agree with you. Emotional scenes (especially the ones where she has to cry) are something that she really needs to work on.

The few times where I felt like she had nailed it was the aftermath of the almost rape that had occurred in the farmhouse. The way she had broken down saying, "Woh Kunj hi tha" to her mom and then the way she slid down the wall after Kunj had left her room, were done extremely well.

Oh! And the scenes where she returns from the hospital (after her attempted suicide and her recovery post-marriage). Those ones were done well as she was required to have zero energy.

Other than those few instances, she hasn't had much improvement in the emotional quotient. At least in the recent episodes that I have seen. Yes, she is new and she will learn as time progresses but at times scenes fail to deliver the required punch that is needed due to the lack of performance. The monotonous voice when delivering dialogues could be changed as well. No one ever talks like that even when they are having a serious conversation. There are also nuances and minor emphasis on certain syllables to get the point across. A flux of emotions, (anger, bitterness, sympathy, softness, care) can be traced out in the voice modulations.

Personally, I would love to see the bubbly Twinkle back. Yes, she was annoying at times (most of the times), but at least she entertained us and gave us something to work with through her animation.

OMG thank you for this topic!

I marathoned TEI over the weekend, and I feel the same way. Although I mainly have a problem with her dialogue delivery. I actually think her delivery was better before, nowadays (and for about a month or so) she talks in this baby way that makes me cringe. So whenever Kunj calls her a little girl, and she jumps on him, I'm like 'If you're going to talk like that obviously he's gonna call you a baby.' 😆 Jasmin Bhasin is adorable, she's very pretty and I've warmed up to her acting now. I just wish she'd go back to saying her lines the way she did before. I think she gets the expressions right, just not the dialogues.

Also this is a bit off topic but have you guys noticed the format of Twinj romantic scenes nowadays? A slow-mo shot from top to bottom, bottom to top, right to left and left to right. 😆 I wish the camera would just stop on them and let their eyes do the talking. 😳 Like the 'I'll kiss you' scene. ☺️

On a side note though, I can't really blame her. Every aira ghaira puts all the blame on Twinkle because she's an easy target and then everyone jumps on her and she has to fill up buckets with tears. I feel for Jasmin because she has to cry in each darn episode.

Maybe she heard about people complaining about not getting the expressions right and started to focus on that instead? 🤔

But I love Jasmin now. She is absolutely adorable and whenever she does stupid Twinkle stuff I can't dislike her or be as angry at her as I used to before. I don't know if that's a good thing now or bad. 😆

@the off-topic wali baat

But we have to see TwiNj romance in all the angles. :P

Ek dum Ekta style. 😎

she's not the best but she has definitely improved

in the beginning i didn't like her acting at all (i actually didn't like all 3's acting in the beginning 😆) but they all have improved quite a bit!

now i actually like her acting and am enjoying her scenes
for emotional scenes sid is the best out of the three but i do think she's gotten better at the crying scenes, esp the last few ones i thought she was doing a pretty good job considering how far she's come...i even told my friend how i thought she got better at crying scenes! 😆

but i feel like for any actor in general they have a journey and a path they need to walk on and she is a newcomer she will continuously learn on her path and i'm sure with time her emotional scenes will improve as well! and they already have improved so much! (i also at this point can never imagine anyone other than jas as twinkle), and i think she's doing a pretty good job at improving and emoting expressions to the best of her ability

tbh ALL three of the actors (four including shri) need to improve A LOT more. yes they have come a long way but there is still a long path to go before i can consider any of them perfect actors, each one of them has something they are not good at. but i think that's the beauty of TV is that we get to see this progression and the actors get a chance to improve. all three still have tremendous potential and have so much scope for improvement and as the show continues im sure all three will work on their acting skills and try and perfect it

getting back to the topic at hand 😆😆 (i had to reread your post i went off on a tangent) on whether i think jasmine can properly act the answer is yes and no. Before she couldn't and i agree many of her emotional scenes were cringe worthy, but now i would say yes because she has improved and her emotional scenes have gotten WAYYY better (i think expression wise she has gotten better as well) so as of now i think her acting and def her emoting expressions have gotten A LOT better 😊

PS aww i'm sure ppl are not going to hate on you at all, your post was not at all offensive and was written very nicely and with a lot of respect towards the actor!

Same I've always loved her punjabi patakha act. 😆 She nails those scenes, no complaints there. It's a good thing it's a good thing. 😆

In regards to the crying scenes, I just don't think she's aware of all the angles and how she has to do it. Probably gets tired of crying all the time too so sometimes it shows in some scenes like the balcony rain scene.

I added this in the off-topic bit. It was 'Like the 'i'll kiss you' scene.' ☺️
It's only a minor complaint, doesn't stop me from drooling on them. 😆 I just notice because I watch these type of scenes 200 times. 🤣

They will improve, there's no doubt about that.

I would personally like to see a variety from them all now. I mean how much longer can we see Twinkle cry buckets every day until we get fed up? I wouldn't want to watch the show every day if all I'm going to get is a crying Twinkle. If we get one episode here and there, that's fine. But I want to see her laugh, and bicker, and be courageous and brave.

I have my down days. There are days where I'm just locked up in my head (currently in my room) where I alienate myself and don't really want to talk to others. Doesn't mean I'm like that all the time. Even in the confines of my own room, I go through a tirade of emotions. I laugh my head off watching Youtube videos, get into a party mode listening to songs and get into a serious head space listening to interviews.

But with Twinkle nowadays, it is the same emotion that is on default, and that's not a pretty thing to see.

I'll bring up the rain scene as an example. It was supposed to be this powerful scene not only for Twinkle as an individual character but also for TwiNj as a couple. Did Twinkle have to cry that hard for that particular scene? I don't think so. If we had gotten it after the acid attack, then it would have made a lot more sense. The idea that your own sister would think that you would try to physically deform her just to exact a petty revenge, is absolutely heartbreaking. Then to have your own father to go against you and practically kick you out of the house? This is where that scene would have made more sense.

Also the fact that we are getting these intimate TwiNj moments is not doing anything for me. We have Kunj trying to approach Twinkle in an intimate manner (not specifically sexually, but relationship wise), but Twinkle is so wrapped with Mahi that I can't enjoy the scenes fully. I can't enjoy the fact that attempts are being made to progress this relationship because it's only one sided. Twinkle is too caught up with Mahi that she cannot see Kunj as her husband right now.

I don't like the way this conflict is being presented. For me, the scenes, come off as lacking something vital.
