Guys, I love this song! I actually performed to it once too. At this rate, I think Twinkle and Kunj are beginning to fall in love with each other. It's obvious they deeply care for one another yet love may not necessarily be in the picture right now. And that's the beauty of this song too. It isn't about loving someone but about your heart getting attached to them which is step one in falling in love. Another thing that is important about this song is the fact that Twinkle daydreamed about dancing to it which indicates she acknowledges that her feelings for Kunj are serious (it reminds me of how she questioned Chinki about the jealousy she felt). She's at this stage where she doesn't know much about if she loves Kunj but she knows that there is something there (her tummy fluttering when he comes near, etc.).

This song is actually pretty long so I'm going to do my best to pick the most apt verses and be concise.

The first bit says:

Manwa laage...O manwa laage
Laage re sanware
Laage re sanware
Le khela maine jiya ka, jiya ka, jiya ka hai daav re

This portion is sang by a female singer. It says that her heart has become attached to her beloved but she gambling her heart. I think this goes back to Twinkle's history with Yuvraj. She was in love with him for seven damn years and it was all a lie, a play on her emotions. I think that's simply awful. I think it's scarred her way more than she lets on (maybe we'll see more of this develop when a confession track is in order). Anyways, I think she's hesitant about her feelings with Kunj because she's scared. I mean think about, this girl was in a relationship with seven years, you think she really doesn't understand what fluttering heartbeats, jealousy and nervousness mean? I think she does, deep down, but she doesn't want to associate it with Kunj because their marriage was a compromise. I think this is also why she had a hard time believing Kunj is there for her...you know until he expressed it atleast 5 times. On thought of that, I think it's a real treat to see Kunj express his concern to Twinkle. Not that I don't love their nok-jhok, but we all need assurance here and there.

Musaafir hoon main door ka
Deewana hoon main dhoop ka
Mujhe na bhaye.. na bhaye, na bhaye chaanv re

This switches to a male singer. The words sunlight and shade have some basic connotations. Sunshine is usually related to words that describe being happy and smiling while shade connects to being down. A we all know, Twinkle is someone bubbly, happy, etc (think about it Twinkle means to shine and the sun shines...#MindBlown #JustKidding) I think this bit can connect to how Kunj can't stand to see Twinkle upset. He does so much to make sure there are no tears in her eyes. And I adore that about him.

Aisi kaisi boli tere naino ne boli
Jaane kyon main doli
Aisa lage teri ho li main, tu mera..

I think we can all agree Sidhant/Kunj has some expressive emotions...his eyes literally the window to his soul. All the emotions he feels shine through his eyes- the concern, the worry, etc. Because Kunj rarely expresses his feelings I think Twinkle has begun to understand him with his gazes. And I think this bit is speaking about someone who's eyes draw someone else in. I think this also works for Kunj as he cannot see tears in Twinkle's eyes. If you think about it, these days they speak a lot with their eyes because they have a better understanding of one another.

Tune baat kholi kacche dhaago me piroli
Baaton ki rangoli se na khelun aise holi

This switches back to a male singer. So far, Twinkle has not been super expressive about her feelings for Kunj. What I mean is that Kunj has given her multiple speeches on caring about her but she really hasn't reciprocated on that level hence the kache dhaago bit. A part of me feels like during the confession track we will have an unsure Kunj because he may think Twinkle doesn't reciprocate. This second line reinforces how Kunj isn't necessarily someone expressive about his feelings unless he needs to be. Yes, Twinkle is more clear on her feelings (she expresses that she wants to be alone, that she's angry, etc.) but Kunj isn't. This week we saw more of his feelings because he saw how deeply Mahi's stupidness had affected Twinkle.

Ras bundiya nayan piya raas rache
Dil dhad dhad dhadke shor mache
Yun dekh sek sa lag jaaye
Main jal jaaun bas pyaar bache

This connects to all the feelings Twinkle is now undergoing (heartbeat, nervousness when Kunj is near). She is unsure about how she feels but we know that eventually she will realize she loves our dear Kunj.

Aise dore daale kaala jaadu naina kaale
Tere main hawaale hua seene se laga le
Aa.. main tera

This goes back to the eyes thing. Kunj can't see tears in Twinkle's eyes and I think that will be key factor in him realizing his love for her. In the garden scene this week, he mentioned that she cries but it hurts him and he doesn't know why. When he will realize why, they'll become each others.

If you look at this song from start to finish, it's about a girl trying to get a guy to become hers. Finally, by the end, he says he's become hers. I have some high expectations for the confession scenes for Twinkle and Kunj. I hope they try to make it realistic and keep in mind their personalities and past history.

P.S: I think I deserve an award for atleats trying to be concise. I skipped a bunch of the song too...haha. Anyways, if this made any sense to you (I feel like it was super disorganized and random), let me know what you think.

Your song analysis is amazing treat to read. I particularly love how the writers have well thought out and planned the relationship. Songs are the best way considering the bollywood filmy element they carry and s present in both Kunj and Twinkle.
I haven't sat down to analyze yet but I do think that the transition not a stronger relationship between Kunj and Twinkle would be interesting to watch.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes! I'm so glad they're putting thought into the way they portray the relationship keeping the music in mind.
