They arrived back in the hospital. Kunj parked the car but before he got out Twinkle stopped him.

"Thank you for the lunch sir I really enjoyed it"

"Thank you kehany ki koi zarorat nahi you won the challenge so obviously I had to fulfil your request. Abb chalay ya yahi rehnay ka plan hain parking lot main" Kunj smiled at her

"No let's go her waqt kaam life is so stressful as a doctor" She huffed in displeasure

Kunj looked at her and smiled she looked so cute when she was annoying. Wait he thought to himself why is he thinking about her.

"Kunj Sarna you need to stop right now" He mentally retorted himself.

They reached the trauma ward and were greeted by the nurses just then a new patient arrived.

"So soon abhi toh hum ahay hain" Twinkle groaned

"Dr Twinkle break khatam ho chuki hain jitna jaldi app dobara kaam kernay lag jayay utna behtar hain"

"Easy for you to say. You love working" Twinkle teased him

"Please Dr Twinkle patient ki history lay lay ya app ko invitation du"

"Nahi Sir abhi layti hun. Don't worry" She said

"Waisay patients ki khair nahi jab app jesi doctor ho" Kunj teased her

"Dr Kunj app k otoh may baad mein dekh lu gi. You just wait" She fired back. She got engrossed in taking the patient's history and Kunj started checking on the other patients. Both of them were busy doing their respective jobs when they heard loud noises. It seemed like somebody was shouting. Just then the noises seem to get closer. Someone was definitely shouting and was really angry. Kunj quickly moved to stand beside Twinkle. He had an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach he felt like something bad was going to happen. Someone crashed open the trauma wards door. A guy was covered in blood stains and was pushing the stretcher of another man who had been shot and was severely injured.

"Yaha par doctor kon hain?" He screamed at the nurse

Nobody dared to speak up as everyone was scared of his menacing presence. Kunj decided to say something to break the tension in the room.

"Main hu yahan Trauma ward ka head bolo app ki kya madad kar sakta hun?" He asked

"Doctor meray bhai ko operation ki zarorat hain but everyone refused to treat him"

"Woh kyun?" Kunj asked

"Iss sli kyun kay hum aik terrorist organisation ka part hain. My name is Ragu Lal ap nay shahid mera naam suna ho"

"Dekhay I don't know who you are but it's against hospital rules to treat criminals" Kunj said

"Sir" Twinkle whispered in his ear

"Kia baat hain?" Kunj looked at her

"Sir yeh adami theek keh raha hain yeh kafi wanted criminal hain. Aur as doctors we have a duty to trat patients regardless of their status" Twinkle said

"Dekha yeh madam ko sab pata han abb app jaldi seh meray bhai ko treat karay" Ragu said

"Nurse OT ready karo jaldi." Kunj asked the nurse

"Par doctor yeh rules kay khalf hain" The nurse said

Just then Ragu took out a gun and pointed it at the nurse

"Aik dum chup shabash jo doctor keh rahay hain waisa karo" Raju said to the nurse

Kunj got really scared he had to calm him down they were a lot of innocent people in the room including Twinkle.

"Dekhay Ragu bahi may kar raha hun na app kay bhai ka operation. App yeh gun andhar rakh day. Nurse farun OT ready karay" Kunj said trying to pacify the situation

"Jab tak meray bahi ka operation nahi hota app logo main seh koi bhair nahi jaya ga ward seh. Aur kisi nay Police ko call karnay ki kosish kit oh acha nahi hoga" Ragu threatened everyone.

"Koi bhair nahi jaya ga. App meray saath chaly main app ko OT kay waiting area main bithwata hun" Kunj said

Ragu left a few of his men in the ward and sat down in the waiting area near the OT.

Twinkle and Kunj were both getting ready for surgery.

"Dr Kunj app nay bada achay tarkeey seh unhay handle kiya"

"Abhi kuch bhi ho sakta hain. Stay close. App OT say bahir nahi jayay gi. Aur ward main jahnay ki koi zarorat nahi" Kunj said

"Par sir baki patients"

"Dr Twinkle please I won't be able to concentrate if you are not close by. We really need to save this patient" Kunj said

Twinkle was taken back by the care and adoration in his voice for her. They scrubbed in and began the operation. It was a tough surgery the patient had been injured brutally and on top that all of them knew that if something happened to the patient they could all die. Who knew what that guy was capable of? He had cordoned off the trauma ward from other parts of the hospital. No one was allowed to enter or leave. Performing a surgery in such a stressful state of mind was difficult.

"Sir his vitals are dropping what if we can't save him?" Twinkle was shaking with fear

"Dr Tw-in-kle everything will be fine" He enunciated the syllables of her name

"Nurse defibrillator on karay farun" Kunj instructed as he saw the patient's heart rate dropping

"Clear" the nurse said and tried again

"Come on please come on" Kunj said. Shortly after they had the fainting beeping of the heart monitor starting again. They all breathed a sigh of relief.

"I knew you could do it Dr Kunj" Twinkle said and without thinking embraced him in a hug

"Well I had the best partner" Kunj smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. Maybe it was just in the heat of the moment but both Kunj and Twinkle found their stress fading away in each other's embrace.
