Five shades of grey for Zain in five months (TOI Artcle)
For some actors, it takes a couple of shows to experiment with the kind of characters they play. And for others, like Zain Imam, it takes just a few months. The actor, who plays Yuvraj in 'Tashan-e-Ishq', has portrayed a character with five different shades in just five months!
He says, "I started with playing a positive character in the show. Then, my role had shadesof grey, it turned completely negative soon and then, became a complete psycho! Now, my character has lost his memory and behaves like a five-year-old boy."
So, which shade did he find difficult to portray? "The complete negative character. I'm a very positive person, and like to have a happy vibe around me. So playing someone who is starkly my opposite was challenging," he quips.
But Zain tells us he had help in hand. "The makers had shown me a two-minute video of Sanjeev Kumar ji playing a similar character. I'd taken inspiration from him. But I can't get back to playing the intense Yuvi again," he signs off.
